3. I have learnt from doing my school magazine how to use photoshop more efficiently and what skills I can use; for example I can use stroke on my text and pictures (This is where there’s a outline going around the shape or text). Also I learnt how to lay my magazine out more by making sure text was in line. On my music magazine the text goes around the model but stays in line. If you compare my school magazine to my music magazine you can see that it don’t look at professional. Also the picture on the side is blurred and not as clear. I have also used two font sizes on my music magazine, this is to show the main headline in big and a quotation or something about the headline below it. On both magazines I have added a unique selling point which is something free inside and a competition.
5. My school contents pages was more basic compared to my music one because I used a basic font for the title ‘contents’ at the top, but this might be due to the fact that I did my school contents on publisher and my music contents on photoshop. Also with my music contents I’ve added pictures down the side to draw attention to the readers. My progression here has definitely improved during the process because I’ve leant how to use more tools and develop my skills on photoshop by using shapes, etc.
7. I did this by using publisher and to start with I’d say I knew more about photoshop than publisher and was scared about using. I started off by making my school contents on publisher to just get the grasp of what I was doing on there. I learnt how to draw lines, add text boxes, change the opacity of the coloured boxes and add shapes. After a while my skills on publisher was getting better and I started to get more confident with using it.
