 Training comprise medical word building, pharmacology, anatomy, physiology and disease processes,
as well as training in how to recognize and look up codes, code differentiations, abbreviations, and other
coding essentials.
 Coding experience includes over 300 actual medical reports using the AHA ICD-10 CM, ICD-10 PCS,
CPT and HCPCS coding manuals.
 The curriculum and practical application portion includes reports on: Consultations, Emergency Room,
History and Physical, Laboratory, Operative, Physician Orders, Procedure Notes, Progress Notes,
Radiology, Pathology, Discharge Summaries and a significant portion of the program covers Evaluation
Management coding for each type of E/M service and how to appropriately assign DRG for inpatient
records.
