Responsible for the supervision of a team of officers providing reactive policing for the area of
Charing Cross, Covent Garden and parts of the West End and Soho. Dealing with anti social
behaviour mainly linked with alcohol and substance abuse working closely with the licencing
department on night time economy issues. Custody Sergeant at a large custody area with many
high risk prisoners and high profile cases.
During this period at the request of the Wycombe Police Area Commander I acted as the MPS
Community Bronze Commander in High Wycombe for Operation Overt (transatlantic bomb plot) on
behalf of SO15 Counter Terrorist Command.
Significant Achievements:
Successfully completed a highly competitive selection procedure for the Mounted Branch.
1/06/92 – 08/08/06 Thames Valley Police
Worked as a PC on a reactive shift and a pro-active crime squad where I became familiar with
RIPA applications and the use of covert and overt evidence gathering equipment. Tutored
probationary Constables on High Wycombe Town Centre Unit. Worked as both a PC and a
Sergeant on a Neighbourhood Policing Team responsible for a large demographic area with a
diverse range of issues ranging from rural crime through to anti-social behaviour in some
challenging parts of High Wycombe. During this period of time I started a number of local projects
tackling crime and disorder and twice won the Buckinghamshire Beat Officer of the year award, in
addition to receiving a commendation from the Area Commander for neighbourhood policing skills.

communications between forward observation posts and regimental gun batteries in extreme
theatres such as the arctic, desert and jungle. Fully conversant with the relevant battle field
technologies. Working as part of a close knit unit in demanding physical and mental circumstances.
