CLOSE PROTECTION SERVICES, ARMED
Assigned to survey pipeline crews. Provide convoy escort for crews to and from job sites. While in the field,
provide overlook ensuring the safety of the crew members. Intervene in cases of conflict with property owners
and/or other interested parties in an attempt to prevent or de-escalate any violent actions directed toward the
principals. Complete necessary documentation as required.
Detailed to provide protective services to CNN and KMOV (St Louis) news crew. These crews were fielded in
the high risk zones of Ferguson, Missouri and surrounding areas. My duties included providing overwatch and
taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of the crews and property. As part of the assignment, also
provided static security at the news media operation center and other locations as assigned.
In addition to duties with the Afghan Police, I was assigned to provide force protection to United Nations civil
engineers as they conducted worksite inspections.
INTERNATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPERIENCE
Show, train, advise and mentor the Iraqi and Afghan Uniform Police on the principles of International
Democratic Policing (IDP) based upon the design of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe
(OSCE). The focus of training was directed to senior level command staff of the Police with emphasis on the
development of seven core areas. Those seven core areas are Leadership, Administration, Training, and
Community
Policing, Facilities, Investigations, and Police Operations.
IRAQ: As Provincial Team Chief duties included: supervision of IPAs; completing and reviewing various
reports such as daily situation report; staffing and tracking reports, attending meetings for planning, security and
training with the multi-national forces (MNF); daily contact with senior MNF and Iraqi officials; acting as a
liaison to assist the MNF with issues in the Iraqi Security Forces. Responsible for supervising and coordinating
training dates and assisting in locating adequate training sites; developing, assembling, and presenting training to
the ISF; developing lesson plans, instructor’s guides, and various training aids; acting as a liaison for the training
teams, the MNF and Iraqi elements involved in the training of the ISF. Served as a platform instructor. Direct
advisor for the Chief of Police of Basara Provience. Conducted local ISF station assessments.
AFGHANISTAN: As an embedded mentor I was assigned to a Police Mentoring Team and then assigned to a
Key Terrain District. At this level I was to continue the training process of the Afghanistan Uniform Police by
performing the function of a Field Training Officer. The end result was to develop the police into a
professional, well-disciplined force. I was assigned to Muhman Dara District Headquarters and then later to the
Nangarhar Provinical Police Headquarters.
GENERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPERIENCE
Responsible for patrol, traffic enforcement, traffic crash and criminal investigations and public relations. This
included, but was not limited to, writing and reviewing reports; establishing case files; assisting in the training of
new and part-time officers; interviewing and interrogating witnesses and suspects; covert surveillance and tactical
operations; and supervising subordinates while acting as officer in charge. As a member of the Special Response
Team, duties included hostage negotiation; execution of high risk search warrants and surveillance; and
detainment of high risk arrestees. Routinely provided court testimony in civil and criminal proceedings.

MILITARY EXPERIENCE
Attended various Naval technical schools to include military leadership and instructor training; served as
company commander at the Integrated Training Brigade at the Great Lakes Training Naval Training Station in
Illinois; served as platform instructor with specialization in Boiler Technician and Machinist Mate basic schools;
worked on the advanced steam operators’ curriculum development team; and worked as an instructor in the
engineering simulators. Repaired and serviced internal combustion motors. Completed job estimation
(man/material) on shipboard repair. Aboard the USS Wainwright I was assigned to the OSHA Safety Officer.
Attended OSHA Safety Officer Training at Charleston Naval Shipyards, SC where I supervised both active duty
personal and shipyard workers. Conducted gage calibration and certification. Completed the Advance Steam
Operator Maintenance School at Norfolk Naval Base. Certified in the testing and treatment of boiler feed and
potable water. Trained as a platform instructor for the Machinist Mate and Boiler Technician school. Trained
and certified on the operating and maintenance York Twin Pack Centrifugal Air Conditioning Systems.
INVENTORY MANAGER
Performed a variety of duties aimed at ensuring that all inventory used for manufacturing goods are at required
levels. As the head of the department, supervised a team of junior professionals who work together to ensure
that the necessary amount of inventory is maintained. Developed all policies and procedures surrounding the

Extensive background as a platform instructor. Trained as an instructor (144 Hour course) in the US Navy at the Great
Lakes Naval Training Center (GLNTC). As an instructor, assigned to the Curriculum Development Team for the Six
Year Option Advance Machinist Mate School at GLNTC. Served as an instructor both in the classroom and the 1200
PSI Propulsion Plant Simulator. Utilized this training and experience in law enforcement career when assigned as a Field
Training Officer. Assisted firearms instruction with training of other officers and the Tactical Response Team. Such
experience assisted when serving as an International Police Adviser in Iraq and later in Afghanistan. As part of the
Civilian Police Transition Team and Embedded Police mentor programs, assessed the needs of the local and regional
police, border patrol, and SWAT units and then developed the requisite curriculum to instruct the police members of
that organization. Reviewed the performance of the policing units and adjusted training schedules accordingly. The
