Work Experience
I am currently working for Alliance Motors Zambia as Sales Executive. Reporting to the Sales Manager, my responsibilities
include;
 Working with customers to understand their needs in order to guide them towards the most appropriate
product and agree sales.
 Identifying and managing prospects
 Building rapport and customer relationships and qualifying the customer’s requirements
 Agreeing the details of the sale
 Coordinating orders and delivery

 Managing the display of products and merchandise

2014 to May 2016, I am currently working for Alliance Motors Zambia (Authorised dealers of Jaguar & Land Rover in
Zambia), a division of Tata Zambia Limited as Administration & Logistics Officer. Reporting to the Sales Administrator,

Ensuring that all vehicle units brought under RIB are ex-bonded, bonded in bond yards and final cleared
when the units are sold
Ensuring that all sold units are appropriately registered to the appropriate owners
Keeping record of all unsold units held in bonded warehouses
Coordinating all company correspondence with Interpol, Road Transport & safety agency, Zambia
Revenue Authority with regards to vehicle units.
Keeping track of all stock, ensuring that the number of day’s vehicle units are kept in bonded yards does
not exceed the permissible limit.
 Raising of Vehicle received notes for incoming new vehicle units
Ensuring that office equipment and office surroundings are well maintained
Raising of Local Purchase orders and finding suitable suppliers for consumables

2013 to 2014, I worked for Varun Foods & Beverages (Zambia) Limited as Logistics officer. Reporting to the Import &
Export Manager, my responsibilities included:
 Being in charge of monitoring and trucking of all import consignments for the organization.
 Handling of all Zambia Revenue Authority issues pertaining to imports and exports i.e. filling for
rebates, finding the appropriate HS codes for all imports for correct declaration, pre calculation of all
import duty Taxes for budgeting purposes and advising on customs matters.
 In charge all communication with customs agents pertaining to imports and exports
 Ensuring that all payments with relation to imports and exports are promptly and correctly made to
enable smooth movement of consignments and mitigate detention and demurrage charges.
 Advising management on any customs related issues
 Generating purchase vouchers after GRN’s have been issued by stores. Ensuring that the correct
documents are attached to GRNs before raising purchase vouchers i.e. appropriately authorized local
purchase orders, invoice and proof of Delivery (delivery note)

2011 to 2013, I was self-employed, importing/bringing in/selling used cars from Dar es Salaam and Durban to Lusaka.
2011, I worked for Zambeef products PLC as Area Retail Manager for Copper belt (Northern Region). Reporting to the
Regional manager, my responsibilities included:
 Management, control and overall supervision of all activities and aspects of 9 of Zambeef Products PLC
retail outlets in the northern region with a combined turnover portfolio of over K 3, 500,000,000.00 per
month. I was managing 9 branch managers with a total of 54 staff under me.

responsibilities included:
 Monitoring and evaluating batch control trends and investigating major variances for various periods
 Handling of tax and statutory matters (Zambia Revenue Authority, National Pension Scheme Authority, Workers’
compensation fund control board, Local authorities for licenses, health authorities licenses etc),

Notable Achievements
 I was appointed delegation leader of the Zambian Government representatives to the International Youth
Work Camp in Egypt in the year 2002.

Province from National Milling Corporation Limited when I was working there.
 I was part of the team that put up the dairy plant at Varun Food & Beverages in record time.

Reporting to the Accountant, my responsibilities included:  Preparation of the payroll for all construction sites and head office staff  Reconciliation of all receivables and payables accounts  Handling of all tax and statutory matters (Zambia Revenue Authority, National Pension Scheme Authority, Personal levy , etc)  Being a bank agent for the company, bank reconciliations and preparing telegraphic transfers for foreign currency transactions  Receipting of cash and cheque payments and preparation of all payments, that is, cash and cheque payments, drafting of bank transfer letters for payments above Kwacha one hundred million.  Carrying out all accounting functions for African Bulk Carriers Limited, a subsidiary trucking company under Gabman Limited From 2005 to 2008, I worked for Murdoch’s Model Bakery Limited as Accountant. Reporting to the Director, my responsibilities included:  Monitoring and evaluating batch control trends and investigating major variances for various periods  Handling of tax and statutory matters (Zambia Revenue Authority, National Pension Scheme Authority, Workers’ compensation fund control board, Local authorities for licenses, health authorities licenses etc),  Being a bank agent for the company, bank reconciliations and preparing telegraphic transfers for foreign currency transactions  Preparation of all books of accounts from source documents to manufacturing accounts up to the Financial Statements i.e. Income statement, Cash flow, Statement of financial Position, Disclosure statements, and Changes in equity.  Reconciliation of all creditor and debtor accounts and ensuring that accounts are settled on time,  Working capital management and advising the Director on the financial position of the Business,  Preparation of payroll and dealing with all human resource issues,  Preparing project proposals for sourcing funds and liaising with lending institutions on sourcing funds, and;  Handling the day to day running activities of the bakery in charge of purchase of raw materials, maintenance of motor vehicle fleet and records, monitoring of stock movement, monitoring of internal controls, compliance to local authority, and; food and health standards. From 2004 to 2005, I worked for the New Fairmount Hotel and Casino as senior internal audit clerk. Reporting to the managing Director, my responsibilities included:  Ensuring that all internal control procedures are adhered to,  Physically verifying all in-coming assets ( fixed and current ) with invoices,  Daily reconciliation of accommodation, beverage and food bills in relation to arithmetic accuracy for the purpose of separating VAT and service charges,  Preparing the daily portion control sheets, and;  Conducting monthly stock takes for all stocks held in our stores department. From 2000 – 2003, I worked as Finance and Administration manager for the Youth in Business, a youth empowerment project, whose aim was to help youth in manufacturing with a market for their finished goods. Reporting to the National Executive Committee my responsibilities included:  Keeping all books of accounts and causing to enter all transactions  Preparing of all financial statements as and when required by the National Executive Committee
