Tickets are $100 for the reception and $250 for the full evening to support the foundation's efforts to rescue and rehabilitate abused elephants in Thailand.

little-known issue near to his heart:preventing the abuse ofAsian elephants.
Olhats was inspired to take action after enjoying an ecotourism vacation with his wife,Christine,at Save Elephant
Foundation’s ElephantNature Park preserve in Chang Mai, Thailand.“We metelephants rescued from all over the
region,” said Olhats.“Some had scars from shackles,while others had been used for touristentertainment,causing
major damage to their bodies.I was inspired bySEF’s founder Lek Chailert,and knew I wanted to take action once I
returned home.”
On Sunday, October 23, Olhats will introduce Chailert and welcome guests to the Sherman Library and Gardens in
Corona del Mar, California.Beginning at4:00 PM, guests can meetChailertat a reception with Thai appetizers,
music,and dance.At 6:00 PM Olhats will hosta dinner featuring Chailert’s own recipes,as well as a cooking
