are improving rapidly
everyday without slowing
down. You can receive
knowledge from anywhere.

3. Classrooms are now fully
integrated with the use of
technology.
Using different kinds of tools
than most people did when
they were young, most
people, 25 and under, didn’t
use these technologies.

4. New Age Tools in the
Classroom(Web 2.0):
Blogs, Podcasting,
Internet Info/videos
(Youtube, Wiki,
Google, Slideshare).

5. Blogs
• Blogs are a powerful way to
communicate information you
want to be shared.
• No only for communicating, blogs
are powerful publishing tools.
Broadcasts information that
might not be shared otherwise.

6. Podcasts
• Podcasts give a voice to
people to listen and allow
them to hear positive
information.
• Students can listen with
headphones at their own rate
of intaking the information.

7. Google & The Internet
The internet is a resource that is
so much power all our fingertips.
No generation has ever had so
much opportunity because of the
internet.

• The internet gives opportunities that
would never even be considered
close to possible without, online
classes for example would not be an
option without the internet.
• With all the distractions that come
with the internet, it is vital that the
instructors have control and lead
their students in the correct mindset
when using these internet tools.
• Become comfortable with the
internet and finding credible
sources.

9. 21st Century Learning
• Design and curriculum drives the
technology.
• Project based learning and the
project set up correctly is crucial to
the success of the learners.

10. Using technology successfully in
a classroom is a mindset, not a
skill-set.
Create a technology toolbox filled
with various tools: Blogs, wikis,
social networking, multimedia,
etc.
Teach as a facilitator, adaptive
and flexible and able to tap into
the students’ energy.
Creating a student centered
environment, community and
media also playing crucial roles.
