2. I felt as if my planning process went quite well. I never got behind on any areas and I felt
in control all the time. The audience feedback has helped me really understand what my
target audience are looking for and the things they like. This has made me rethink some of
my idea, for example, I am going to make my FC more detailed and less simple, as I was
intending to do. This planning process has made me confident with the production of my
magazine as I know exactly how I am going to do it as everything has been planned out.
The audience feedback is a really effective way on helping you plan the content within
your magazine and what your magazine will look like. I have learnt that every person has
very different opinions and that supplying for the is very hard. Therefore, in my magazine I
have tried to include things that will attract all of my target audience, meaning that there
will be something in my magazine for everyone.
The only thing that I would have changed in this planning process is the time management.
Sometimes I did too many things at once which lead me to become distracted and
uninterested in the area I was working on. For example, I did my mock up Front covers,
contents pages and Double page spreads all at the same time. It was clear on where I
started as the mocks became less detailed than the ones that I began with. This has made
me learn that I mustn't cram everything in at once and I should give my self more time
spread out so this doesn't happen again, meaning that all my work will be to my best
ability.
I have learnt fro previous tasks that having a check list is a good way for me to get things
done as I now what I have done and what else there is I need to complete. Therefore,
making a Gant chart at the beginning of the planning process was a really effective way of
getting me to stick to the deadlines and manage to keep my work under control.
