6. General Contracting
While some clients want total control over their projects, others want little involvement with the actual
construction process. This is addressed through the use of a General Construction contract. Lara
Consulting will assume full responsibility for all building related activities and will deliver a turn-key
product that meets agreed upon schedule and pricing values, yet clients have the option of being kept
updated of all job-related progress via regular meetings with the project team. This results in all risk
being borne by Lara Consulting, while the client is kept removed from the minutia of operations on site.
This is the preferred method of construction for many of our repeat clientele, who have come to rely on
the Lara Consulting team for excellence in construction under even the most challenging conditions.

10. The backbone of Lara Consulting LLC is Jose Lara himself. Coming from a specialized background,
Lara was able to embrace change and furthermore to build a network of businesses in the process.
Lara started out on Wall Street in the New York Stock Exchange. He worked for a two dollar broker as
a clerk trading out of the garage room from 1998 to 2002. Lara then worked as a stockbroker until
2006 and following that he worked as a mortgage broker until the market fell into recession in 2008.
Lara was given the opportunity to take a mentee position under a previous client of the brokerage firm
he was working at. Lara quickly changed pace and learned a new trade overnight, which was the
beginning of Drywall Concepts Builders and his rough carpentry career.

11. Over the last decade, Lara has successfully managed several building projects, including his latest
completed project, the Chanel Retail Location at Roosevelt Field Mall. As a consultant Lara is also
currently working on an ongoing private university project which is still underway and on schedule.
Throughout his projects he has had the opportunity to work with establishments such as Turner
Construction and Vanguard Construction, he is certified with the Minority Business Enterprise, and
has worked with OSHA, City Council and several other local development associations, allowing him
to create a vast network of connections useful in managing and completing large commercial projects.
Realizing that he had the capability to achieve these large projects and now with a vast network and
access to manpower Lara has decided to broaden his reach and give back to the business community
with his newly founded consultation firm Lara Consulting LLC. Lara hopes to utilize his project
management skills gained from years of construction project management to assist other companies
in achieving their project management goals.
