Career History
June 2013- April 2014: Asda Pharmacy
Asda offered me a position in their pharmacy department while I was there. I passed my Pharmacy
Assistant & Pharmacy Dispenser course gaining me a recognised qualification. My daily job roles
were to open the store and check the fridge temperatures, Cash float and prepare the tills ect. fill and
face counter products, collect prescriptions and prepare them and do first checks before being passed
on to the pharmacist. I also checked / ordered stock. Unload and checked deliveries. Advising
customers and consulting them on their health problems and to recommended medication and
discuss dosage on over the counter drugs.
2. October 2012- June 2013 Asda
I started working for ASDA on the fresh section, my role was markdowns & process so it was also my
responsibility to make sure there was sufficient stock coming on to the shop floor. I was also
responsible for stock rotation and keeping out of date stock off the shelf. This was a position that
required me to often work alone and look after the department I was designated to but would also help
out in other areas to keep the store running smooth and efficiently.
October 2009 – August 2012: Rhythm & Booze
Manage the day to day running of the store. Being a key holder I was in charge of opening and
closing the store, frequently left solely in charge. I kept accurate records and book keeping and
handled the stores banking. I would keep the shop floor full of product and make and receive
deliveries. I often helped with merchandising the store following a Plano gram. I would also do the
stock rotation on a daily basis . I dealt daily with a wide variety of individuals and enjoy the
diversity of this environment and feel that I have very good customer service skills.
2009 – 2011: Sheffield College
Achievements:
· Btec National in travel and tourism
I attended Sheffield college for two years to gain this qualification.
2008 – January 2009: Barnsley College
I attended Barnsley College for 1 year. During this time I completed a course BTEC First Diploma in
travel and tourism and also re-sat my maths and English exams
