3. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
Camera issues. Hire a new camera.
Film on a different device.
Locations too busy to film. Make sure I know ahead of time when they will
be free and make sure I have a number of back
up locations.
Actors Missing Production days for whatever
reason.
Make sure I have a number of back up days
that we can do as well as having back up actors
to fill in if needs be.
A shot is not right, or satisfactory when I go to
edit it.
Leave time for reshoots after my first batch of
editing to produce the highest quality film.
Lost footage/corrupt save. Need to have lots of different saves in a
number of locations that are physical as well as
digital to avoid this mix up.
I am ill for a period of time, This is all about leaving enough time for me to
do everything before the deadline. So in the
case that I cannot do work for a period I can still
get the work done in time.
4. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Filming near roads. Make sure to wear high-vis jackets and always
make sure someone is watching the road.
Poor weather whilst outdoors could be a
problem for cast, crew and equipment.
We have to all have appropriate clothing for
the weather and where we are as well as
making sure to protect the equipment from any
extreme weather conditions.

6. Location requirements
• I need a house to film in. this will allow me to film sit down
interviews in a family environment where you may find the
characters in an everyday setting. It will also allow me to
film a pantry and get some pictures of cake on a kitchen
floor. All of these must be in the same house to keep
continuity.
• I also need some countryside for my planned tracking shot
for my opening. This will allow me to establish a setting for
the piece. For this I think I will need a wheat field or
possibly a forest and a flat path(cycle path to film along. It
needs to be secluded as I don’t want any people in my shot.
• I will also need a quite location for my voice over work. A
studio would be ideal but anywhere in doors with little
activity should be ok.
7. Cast Requirements
• Character list: -Dog—Father(Elwood)
–Mother(Linda) –Son(Tom) -Daughter(Elise)
• Dog: My pet dog will do fine for this role. All I need is some
photos and also maybe a short clip.
• Elwood: For this I need a man in his middle ages(40-60).
• Linda: For this I again require a Woman in her middle age
years.
• Tom: For this part I need a man who is at least 20 years
younger than the actor who plays his father. He is also
required for the voice over parts.
• Elise: For this part I require an actor who looks as though
they are in their teenage years. They should preferably be
younger than the actor who plays Tom.
