5. With funding from . . .
Two thirds of the £9m
budget for production
came from Prescience
Film Financing’s Aegis
Fund.
6. And . . .
UK Film Council:
£1m to See Saw
and Bedlam from
Premier Fund.
£21,080 to See
Saw from
Development
Fund.
Molinare invested
£200,000 to fund
post-production
at . . . Molinare.
This is a way of
investing by
paying for their
own work, with a
share in profits.
7. And for distribution:
I
nvestment from The Weinstein
Company secured distribution in
US and other territories.
Early backing
from Momentum
under a “first
look” deal with
See Saw
guaranteed UK
distribution.
11. Synergy basically means working together
to achieve an objective that couldn't be
achieved independently. Cross-media
convergence can help with synergy if
companies are wise enough to take
advantage of the links they have forged.
Disney is an obvious example of a
synergistic company from the top down
from Film Studio to Kids' TV Channel
(where it further plays and promotes its
films) to the Disney Store (in the street
and online) where your kids can pester
you to buy all the merchandise and
DVDs/CDs they've seen on the TV/Web or
in the cinema.
