• Reduced the 200mm (0.35um) fabrication line Burin-In (BI) Early Failure Rate from 1.7% to 0.4% in less than three
months. Published paper defining the failure mechanisms identified.
• Identified failure mechanisms for customer devices increasing yield to 95% meeting corporate goals.
• Enhanced the device characterization time on new product designs by 75%, moving the modeling and simulation time
ahead of schedule.

techniques to reduce/eliminate burn-in failures.

Conducted technical research, failure analysis, and root cause analysis for LANTIRN and the Microelectronics Center

• Conducted the APD vs. PIN detector trade study for the LANTIRN Laser Spot Tracker (LST) design.
• Worked with manufacturer to reduce noise and enhance the performance of the 1st
generation FLIR, four-channel
preamplifier detector assembly for LANTIRN and TADS/PNVS.
• Member of the LST development team. Helped define the system performance specification.
• Lead a team performing construction analysis of obsolete parts, and writing a company wide proposal for microcircuit
obsolescence. Resolved numerous obsolescence and manufacturing issues.
• Certified in ASIC Design Assurance, Digital Design Assurance, and Analog Design Assurance.
• Interfaced with customers (AMD, National, MicroRel Medtronics and Motorola) to resolve integrated circuit design
issues and establish corrective actions.

Published paper defining the failure mechanisms identified. • Identified failure mechanisms for customer devices increasing yield to 95% meeting corporate goals. • Enhanced the device characterization time on new product designs by 75%, moving the modeling and simulation time ahead of schedule. LOCKHEED MARTIN Electronics &Missiles, Orlando, FL 1992 - 1995 Research Engineer Conducted technical research, failure analysis, and root cause analysis for LANTIRN and the Microelectronics Center (MEC), also interfaced with external customers, and wrote proposals and technical specifications. • Conducted the APD vs. PIN detector trade study for the LANTIRN Laser Spot Tracker (LST) design. • Worked with manufacturer to reduce noise and enhance the performance of the 1st generation FLIR, four-channel preamplifier detector assembly for LANTIRN and TADS/PNVS. • Member of the LST development team. Helped define the system performance specification. • Lead a team performing construction analysis of obsolete parts, and writing a company wide proposal for microcircuit obsolescence. Resolved numerous obsolescence and manufacturing issues. • Certified in ASIC Design Assurance, Digital Design Assurance, and Analog Design Assurance. • Interfaced with customers (AMD, National, MicroRel Medtronics and Motorola) to resolve integrated circuit design issues and establish corrective actions. • Performed Failure Analysis, device testing, and construction analysis of microelectronics and printed wiring boards to identify the failure root cause and establish corrective actions.
