Project Manager (in an informal corporate PM group)
Led the highly successful Sonicare FlexCare electric toothbrush project which continues to generate a major portion of the division’s
revenue. The FlexCare was designed as a “platform” to re-use major components across a full product line.
Managed the FlexCare “drive train” development team on this “bet the company” project. The drive train exceeded reliability goals,
met cost targets and launched on time and was used in three new products at low, medium, and high price points.
Directed the Sonicare/Crest IntelliClean toothbrush project which included over 40 team members and a capital investment of
~$15MM. The IntelliClean added ~$20MM in annual revenue for Philips.
Received “Certificate of Excellence” award for presenting the business case, conceptual design, and feasibility for the first Sonicare
low-cost replaceable battery electric toothbrush. Subsequently launched as the “Xtreme e3000” and is still sold today.
