Prepares project plans, budgets, specifications, special provisions, engineer’s
estimates, time analysis chart and production rates.
Reviews plans and documents for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to

Conducts and participates in meetings with municipalities, State and Federal

Evaluates experimental, existing and new concepts for incorporation into the

Assures material compliance with project specification by determining frequency
and type of sampling, testing, inspections, and information required for
acceptance or rejection of materials incorporated into the project.
Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices; the Standard
Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as published by the Wisconsin
Department of Transportation; departmental policies which govern design,
construction, and maintenance of all types of improvement projects.
Works as a team member to develop improved methods and procedures to
improve transportation projects.
Serves as a resource and advisor to the project team.
Maintains and upgrades professional and technical knowledge and skills.
