become one of the most challenging
tasks to most of the teachers ,
especially because it has been an
additional work to them.
This therefore present the different
challenges encountered by our
teachers in the conduct of action
research proposal writing.

Conclusion
• Majority of the teachers where not able to
experience to do research.
• The teacher researchers were challenged by the
lack of time, experienced writing anxiety in
conducting action research proposal and viewed
that is an additional workload and burden on their
part. Furthermore, they also experienced
difficulties in analysing quantitative or qualitative
data as well as issues or problems to be
investigated.

Conclusion
• Only few teachers undertaken Division Training,
• Some teachers attended professional development
(graduate studies).
• Majority of the teachers attended District training
on research however no output was submitted for
permit to the division office.
• An Action plan be proposed to resolve the
challenges and difficulties experienced by teachers
in the conduct of Action Research Proposal.

Recommendation
• Teachers should be given sufficient seminars,
trainings, and workshops on action research and
religiously attend to acquire skills and processes to
come up with action research proposal.
• School heads should extend their support to
teachers by sending to research seminars,
organized district-based action research write shop.
• Teachers with knowledge and skill in research
should be tap and give technical assistance towards
development of their action research proposal.

Recommendation
• Conduct of LAC sessions on Action Research
proposal write shop.
• Organized school-based research committee to
evaluate the level of governance and relevance of
teacher researches.
• Establishment of the District Research committee
that quality assure and provision of technical
assistance towards the completion of the action
research proposal of the teacher.
