Conversations on Consciousness
What do art and science have to say about
consciousness? Perhaps no aspect of the mind is more
familiar or more puzzling than consciousness; it defies
definition. Yet our conscious experience of self and the
world is what shapes us and our history.
In an attempt to understand consciousness, filmmaker
Alex Gabbay invited sculptor Antony Gormley,
eminent neuroscientists Brian Butterworth and Beau
Lotto, and internet entrepreneur Twain Luu to explore
its meaning and how it affects their areas of work. See
this meaningful film beginning tonight, Wednesday,
February 15, when the filmmaker will be on hand to
discuss it with special guests.

earlier era. With her throaty vibrato and lushly

Roy Orbison, Loretta Lynn, and Jenny Lewis.
