Career Experience
Temple B’nai Torah
I serve Temple B’nai Torah (in Bellevue’s Crossroads neighborhood) for all their marketing and development needs. I
complete a bi-monthly 28-page newsletter, produce marketing materials, work with their boards of directors on fundraising
activities, handle advertising and press relations, and manage all of the Temple’s online avenues of communication.
WACAP
My first two years I served as the communications coordinator for the Family Finders program, helping children find a
family by creating publications, digital media and using Internet advocacy. As finalization manager, I worked (in detail) with
attorneys to write, edit and produce legal and confidential documents for the purpose of adoption. I also served as
volunteer coordinator.
Nabisco Biscuit/Kraft Foods
As the marketing coordinator to the regional vice president, I managed a busy sales and marketing office that served a
five-state territory. Sales reporting, market tracking, office management, client services, supply-chain coordination and
customer service were my primary duties.
IDX Systems Corporation
I worked within the marketing department of our nation’s number-three medical software company, creating sales
brochures, branding the company and product, writing technical guides, editing the national newsletter and content on their
Web site. During this time, I also developed trade show themes and served as a communication liaison for IDX-staff
physicians and clients.
Pacific Rim Resources (public-agency work)
I coordinated all aspects of a successful marketing and public relations campaign for King County Solid Waste and their
nationally-recognized recycling programs. Leading a project team focused on Puget Sound Utilities, Sound Transit and
Washington Hospital Association communication projects, we developed very popular public outreach programs with
measured results.
Seattle SuperSonics
For (almost) seven seasons, I worked in the media/public relations department for Seattle’s professional basketball team. I
also doubled as the administrative assistant for the coaching and advanced-scouting staff at the training facility. The senior
staff entrusted me with representing the organization to the media and public, working with coaches and players.
