Warren Bobrow discusses combining cannabis and craft spirits to create tasty cocktails. As the founder and "Cocktail Whisperer" of a cannabis business, he notes that most cannabis beverages lack flavor balance and are too sweet due to poor quality sugars. Bobrow believes the drinks are not designed by mixologists and calls out the need for more balanced flavors that entice consumers in the same way craft cocktails do. He provides metaphors comparing good cannabis drinks to well-made cocktails and envisions a future where the drinks are just as exciting.

6. 1. Too Sweet
2. Poor quality sugars when using sugar - instead of using cane, raw
honey, agave, coconut, milk sugar, etc.
3. No balance. One dimensional drinks, skewed to sweet
4. Why so much sugar? Who designed your drinks?
Certainly not a mixologist.
If it is a mixologist, who is it? I want to call them out.
7. Metaphors
• Sweet is not better, but if the beverage must be
sweet, use the best sugars, like Demerara or
Turbinado, raw honey or agave
• Make the packaging inviting. Grey may be hot for
energy drinks, but labels should entice, not bore.
• Ever have a really great craft cocktail? Your THC
infused ”Mocktail” should be equally as exciting,
without the alcohol
• Of course you can add alcohol, Cannabis
Cocktails is all about the cross-fade!
• Imagine a perfect world where cannabis drinks are
as well-made as the best craft cocktails?
