what I am currently doing to peruse a career in my chosen field which is in game design so far is that I am
currently doing 2 years in level 3 creative media study’s at York college following on from last years level 2 creative
media course as I am hoping the design aspect of the project will allow me to improve my design skills where I will
be able to become a game design designing assets and worlds for my favourite franchises or original game.
3. What do you plan to do next in the pursuit of your chosen field?
after finishing my 2 years of level 3 creative media study's at York college I plan on trying to get into university and
take up courses that relate to my chosen carer choice.
4. Select at least three potential University courses that would help you further your career aims. You should state
what the course is, which university it is run by, the entry requirements and why you think it would help you.
• Games Design BA, brunel university London, A minimum of five GCSEs are required, including GCSE
Mathematics grade 4 and GCSE English Language grade 4., the reason I think this course would help me further
my career aim is because it cover what go’s into game design form the concepts to the pitch for the game.
• Games Design and Art, university of Southampton must hold GCSE English language or GCSE English minimum
grade 4 and mathematics minimum grade 4, the reason I think this course would help me further my career

products affect the future of gaming.

5. What type of work experience do you think you would need to help you in your future career? How might you
be able to find work experience placements? If you could pick anywhere to do work experience, where would it
be and why?
the kind of work place experience I feel would help further my future career would be to take up a design
internship at a magazine for pages and front covers and the way I would be able to find it is to keep an eye out for
job listing under the criteria of design, and if I could pick where I would do work experience it would be pc gamer
magazine or Xbox magazine which fits into my dream of becoming a game designer
6. What specific skills do you need to develop? There should be a mix of industry specific skills and also personal
development points. When you identify these, come up with suggestions as to how you might make those
improvements.
• one industry specific skill I would need to improve is my art as it has the problem of being passable but in the
industry of game design it needs to be professional standard and a way I could improve this is by taking art
lessons to help improve my base drawing and shading.
• Another industry specific skill I would need to improve is team work which is used quite often when game are
in development with different departments handling different aspects I could improve by taking a course that
realise on team work.
• A personal development I need to improve on is my writing skill as sometime my sentences drag on to long and
to improve that I need to practice punctuation in my sentences.
• Another personal development I need to improve I need to make is considering layout as sometime my layouts
can be hard to understand ad the way I will improve this is through practice.
• A final personal development I need to improve would be the time management and audience appeal section
of my evaluation and the way I plan on improving is through practice and giving them a second look to make
sure.
7. In 5 years time I will hopefully be finishing up a gaming design study at university and begin working in a gaming
magazine company giving me the design experience I need to hopefully then move onto working in the gaming
industry to become a game designer.
