Christmas pitch

My pitch
• I decided to advertise John Lewis Christmas campaign.
About my pitch
• My advert is going to be a love story. The advert is a hybrid of hand
drawn animation and computer generated animation. It is about this
girl who was taking a walk in the park and she sees the boy of her
dreams. The advert will advertise romance, family and to be kind to
everybody at Christmas time.
Target audience
• My target audience is for all ages, to kids, it will be about a girl who's
in love with a boy and for adults, it will be about feeling accepted in
the modern world and the importance of love and kindness.
• My product is similar to other Christmas adverts form big
department's such as Sainsbury's, Debenhams and Fenwick's.
Why did I choose this target audience?
• I have chosen this target audience is because John Lewis sell
everything with a diverse age range. I have taken this information
form the John Lewis website.
Evidence of research
• The greatest gift- Sainsbury's.
• Monty the penguin-John Lewis.
• Coca cola advert from 1997
Story
• The story is about a girl who walks into a park and to (her sees) the
most handsome boy she ever laid eyes on.
• The advert will be a silent movie to give a “show not tell” effect.
Soundtrack
The reason why I have chosen
the soundtrack of inside out
because the music sets the soft
and heart warming tone of the
advert.
Storyboards
The girl is walking in the park and
see the boy sitting on the bench.
The girl is nervous at first and she
get the confidence and sits at the
end of the bench where the the
boy sat across from her.
The girl gradually slides closer to
the boy until they are nearly
kissing.
The boy moves away from the girl
and the sit in an awkward silence.
The girls decides to be brave and
start talking to the boy. After that
the girl and boy eventually start a
contestation.
They talk for so long it started to
get dark.
After a long talk, they are just
about to kiss until the boys parent
catches them and intervenes.
The boys parents told him they
cant be together because she was
different(hand drawn).
Distraught and heartbroken the girl
goes home with nothing.
Lying in her bed the hears a knock
on the door.
She answers the door and it is the
boys family saying they had a long
The girls and boy finally kiss and
they they both happy again.
Equipment I will need
•
This will be used to create
the computer generated
animation.
• As for the hand drawn animation, we can just drew every frame for
the it.
• For an animator to animate a short for about 2 minutes, it would take
about 10 weeks.
Budget
• Animator- £50 per hour.
• £400 per day(8 hour)
• £2000 per week(5 days)
• Total- £20,000
• Equipment
• Pen digital painting drawing tablet-£291.50
• It will cast £7 million to produce.
