PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am ambitious and progressive with experience in manufacturing systems, continuous improvement, quality
management systems and mechanical, electrical maintenance. I have a proven record of identifying potential
improvements and leading projects using lean methodologies to deliver significant results. Along with being
an experienced and enthusiastic manager of change through knowledge transfer I am also, flexible and
adaptable with the ability to strive when using new methods and processes
Employment History
PRODUCTION MANAGER 2011-PRESENT
VISTA PANELS LTD,
Vista is a manufacturer of bespoke panels and composite doors. Originally commencing employment as a
process operator in 2004, I quickly progressed to become CNC department supervisor. In this role I gained a
high standard of skills and knowledge in, CNC programming and control panel operation, machine setting
and maintenance, along with the operation, maintenance and monitoring of a Polyisocyanurate blending
plant. Working towards my current position as Production Manager.
Key responsibilities
• The daily scheduling of production and the analysing forward orders to determine production throughput
and raw material requirements.
• The introduction of new products and the design of processes required to achieve the desired product
including all machine programming.
• The monitoring and adjustment of staff training to fulfil business requirements.
• To monitor and analyse production performance to achieve lead times.
• To monitor and achieve key performance indicators.
• Use and apply total productive maintenance on all department equipment and machinery.
• The management and compliance of Health and Safety in adherence with ISO 18001 and the company’s
Safety Management systems.
• To minimise and monitor the departments environmental impact through adherence ISO 14001
Environmental Management systems.
• The monitoring, programing and setting of CNC Controlled Machinery.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance on all plant equipment, in the absence of department
technicians.
Projects
• Project managed a complete re-design of the production facility to eliminate waste and introduce lean
practices such as 5S, 7 wastes, JIT, reduce non value added activities, work load balancing and pull
systems.
• Design and implementation of a Product Quality management system too integrate with the companies ISO
19001 quality management system standards, to reduce the risk of defective products reaching the end
user.
• Led continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools such as VSM, FMEA, and product flow analysis
within the production facility and across a number of other functions including; order processing, production
scheduling, and despatch systems.
• Introduced KPI, works instructions and lean 5s audits.
• Introduced and managed the install of 4 new methods of material processing to reduce environmental
impact and processing tact times using automation.

profile to reduce waist, tact time and environmental impact.
Key achievements
• An increase in production capacity of 46.5% from 2013 to date giving an approximate potential increase in
turnover of £4.6 million
• A reduction in Production area reduced by 41% enabling the introduction of an FD30 certified fire door
production cell.
• Order to delivery lead time was reduced from 15 days to 4 on standard products.
• Productivity increased from 4.4 man hours per product in 2012 to the current 2.8man hours per product,
increasing productivity by 63%.
• Reduced defect rate from 4% to 0.5%.
