1. To whom it may concern,
I am Jake a friendly, positive, hard working man, writing in regards to the recruitment position.
The reason why I would like to apply is because I have recently moved to Bristol into the Montpelier area
after returning from Spain, where I had been teaching English for a year.
I have a full clean car and motorbike licence with my own motorbike.
The work I am looking for might be temporary or would lead into a long term career with a company. I
am a good team player but equally confident working alone.
I have been a chef for the past six months and I was teaching English for a year in Barcelona before that, I
have also done a lot of construction and landscape work, as well as factory, assembly and packing work
and a few other part time jobs. I am conscientious, trustworthy and reliable.
On a personal level I am dynamic, well-travelled, passionate, enthusiastic and I have the ability to adapt
to new working environments and people, I am a quick learner and haven't found a job I can’t master yet.
I personally feel like I can fill any job position going, if I ever didn't have the experience for a new
position, I always learn quickly, work effectively and have a ‘can-do’ attitude.
I am available immediately for full time work, mornings, afternoons, shift work and night-time work
would also be considered.

WORK HISTORY
01/2016 - 06/2016 Chef, Huffkins - Witney
I was one of three chefs working for Huffkins Restaurant, cooking a wide variety of food, working under pressure to create
good quality food on time. I was responsible for running the kitchen at times and organizing other people. I coped with the
pressure and learned a lot of great things there.
10/2014 – 11/2015 English Teacher, Just Languages – Barcelona
I spent just over a year in Spain teaching English to mostly Spanish people, ranging from age twelve to sixty and from
complete beginners to high level students. I received very good feedback from my students who often requested me as their
main teacher and my trainer was very satisfied with my hard work and dedication. I was a good teacher and cared about my
students and I was always devoted to them and to my job.
11/2012 – 06/2014 Assembly Operative, Owen Mumford Ltd. – Chipping Norton
For two years I worked for Owen Mumford a medical factory doing assembly work and packing, before I left to go travelling
for three months. I worked as agency staff and quickly gained a full time contract, I was in an assembly operative position and
was able to pick up the role and become part of the team very quickly. I bonded well with all the managers, team leaders and
the people working around me. I was known for working hard and I am able to work with new people and learn new duties
without problems. I was recommended to be made into a team leader but my travels were already planned and booked at the
time.
04/2009 – 04/2012 Construction and landscaping, Peter May – Oxfordshire
A mixture of landscape and construction based work, I was often involved in the design and planning. I have done a lot of
other physical labour such as building, roofing and gardening. I have used four ton dumper trucks and 360 diggers regularly in
the past and I am a very capable driver with time in all vehicles.
