Work History
Job title: Asset Controller (oct 2018 – Current)
Employer: 100+ logistics limited
Address: Lawrence House, Unit 2, Observatory Way, Lowmoor Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield,
Nottinghamshire, NG17 7RD
I currently work as an asset controller & contracts co-ordinator for 100 Plus limited. I started here as
a junior contracts co-ordinator in October 2018. I quickly proved my worth by demonstrating the
ability to jump head first into a new industry & job role, in which I had no previous experience. This
combined with my work-oriented attitude and the professional manner in which I conduct myself
day in & day out was noticed by my superiors. In just two months i was appointed greater
responsibilities and gained much respect within the company. In addition to this I have been
personally praised by the head of the company for my efforts, proving to be competent, well
organised and hard working.
2. During the first three weeks I learned to use catalyst, which is a digital stock management &
invoicing system. I used this to complete invoices, edit stock items and perform daily stock reports
for our clients. I am trusted to speak & deal directly with our professional clients on a daily basis via
email and by phone to answer any queries, quote for deliveries and quote for materials orders.
Since the new year (2019) I have been assigned to a busier contract that 100 plus caters for, this
accounts for the vast majority of our work. Here I was dropped into the deep end as a previous
employee had been overwhelmed with the workload and had left the stock in disarray. However I
quickly processed and took count of the equipment we had in store. I am now fully proficient in the
Track Trans stock tracking and management system. I used the system to return stock that had
overstayed its welcome, back to the bigger warehousing companies such as Kuehne & Nagel and
Panalpina.
This job comes with more responsibly as I have to ensure I have the correct paperwork for unused /
faulty units returned from our customers sites. Discrepancies with our customers and other
warehouses means that I may be charged for any goods that have been lost. I keep a solid paper trail
to ensure any blame cannot lye with us.
For the past two months I have been lending a hand to the new managing director for one of our
customers, they gave him little to no help when introducing him to this roll. This falls out of my job
description as he is supposed to be my 'boss' and customer. I naturally wanted to help him get on his
feet in this hectic industry. I have taught him to use the TrackTrans system and explained exactly
what is expected of him in his job role. All while still being able to keep on-top of my own work, he
has been singing me praises for this.
More recently I have joined the ops manager to attend quarterly progress meetings, these are
designed to improve the efficiency of operations between 100 Plus and the customer. We discuss
how we can improve the delivery of our service and highlight any issues both parties may face.
Job title: Expert Grill Chef (Aug 2015 – Oct 2018)
Employer: Whitbread, Brewers Fayre
Address: The Castlewood, Carter Lane East, South Normanton, Derbyshire, DE55 2DY
In my previous job role, I was expected to be an effective contributor and leader of a 5-man team In
the heart of a very busy family restaurant. I would often complete food orders for the following
week's service.
On a normal day, the kitchen was an incredibly busy, stressful, hot and out-write challenging
environment to work in. Constantly dealing with vast flurries of orders, it was crucial to remain
focused and organised to ensure every member of my team is working safely and efficiently to
provide the best service for our guests. On a busy night we could be expecting to deal with around
300 bookings. Each guest has their own preferences, allergies and intolerances. I would be the only
chef that is cooking, other team members will prep salads, sides and plate the food. A lot of
responsibility fell on my shoulders to set the pace and ensure all food is safe for our guests.
I was seen by my superiors to be trustworthy and competent always keeping a cool head under
pressure, I was given a position of authority even though I worked with colleagues that are much
older and more experienced.
3. Before working my way up to grill chef, I was a kitchen assistant. Two days a week I would run and
cook the ‘all you can eat’ buffet. This gave me the opportunity to interact with guests, hear directly
from them any criticism, compliments or questions they might have. (March 2016) I received
‘employee of the month’, chosen by management for my polite, friendly and informative manner in
which I communicate with guests. This was the first time ‘employee of the month’ was introduced.

Hobbies and Interests
In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit, I like to attend the gym 3-4 times a week but this is not always
possible due to work and other responsibilities. Here I find that I'm most focused and can really push
myself physically. I also enjoy cooking my own food to how I prefer it, I do this often. This way I know
exactly what I'm eating and can trust in how it was prepared. I am always seeking to learn new skills
and further develop the ones I have attained. Ultimately, I would like to be in a position where I'm
working for myself, becoming more self-sufficient, living on my own terms and being my own boss.
Until then I have to prove to myself and others just how my work ethic and dedication will take me
where I want to be. Other than looking after myself I spend a lot of time with my friends, they are a
big part of my life, they help deal with the stress of day to day life as they are in the same boat.
