1. Comparing and contrast

Aladdin the Disney movie, and Ali Baba the story are similar and
different in many ways. I am comparing and contrasting these two
story's because, I was wondering how many differences and similarities
there are. For example, Aladdin is a colorful motion picture, and Ali
Baba is in black, and white pictures.
One thing that they have in common is that they are both Arabian
folktales. You can tell that Ali Baba, and Aladdin are both Arabian
names. Even though Ali Baba is a Pusan tale. Although Arabian, and
Pusan are so similar they both speak the same languages.
Another thing in common that Ali Baba has in common to Aladdin is
that they both start poor, and end up rich. Aladdin is so poor that he is
know as a street rat. He also steals food. Also Aladdin marries a princess
and becomes rich and powerful. Ali Baba starts poor to but not as much
as Aladdin he can feed him self without stealing from others. Also Ali
Baba is already married.
A third similarity is that they both go into a type of cave and finds
treasure. Ali Baba goes into a cave and takes treasures because her other
people go into it and come out with gold. Aladdin only goes into the cave
because Gaffar made Aladdin go because he wanted a lamp and so he
gets the lamp for him but Aladdin rubes it. That's when he finds a genie.
Lastly the fourth similarity is about the two story's is they both live
happily ever after. Ali Baba is happy because he finds the treasure and
becomes rich with his wife. Aladdin gets rich too. Aladdin becomes rich
and happy with the girl of his dreams. As you can see that they both live
happily ever after.
One difference in the two stories Ail Baba and Aladdin, is that Ali
Baba needs a password to enter the cave and Aladdin just has to be the
right person. Ali Baba has to say open sesame.
Another difference is that in the Disney movie Aladdin, it is a musical.
Aladdin sings. Aladdin sings many songs, for example he sings to the
princess on the flying carpet. Also in Ali Baba there is no sining only
talking.
The third difference is that in Aladdin he is only a street rat and no
siblings although Ali Baba has one brother. His name is Cassim. Cassim
also takes some of the treasure. On the other hand Aladdin has only a
monkey to keep him company.
Lastly the forth difference is that Aladdin marries a princess named
Jazmin. Ali Baba is already married and not to a princess only a normal

2. woman.
As you can see that Ali Baba and Aladdin have many differences and
similarities about them. Like they both live happily ever after and how
Aladdin sings and Ali Baba doesn't. Now I have found out some of the
differences and similarities there are between Aladdin and Ali Baba.
