1. Compare and
Contrast
I am explaining these two folktales to find the
similarities and differences.
One similarity is in Ali-Baba and the forty thieves and Aladdin is
they both take place in Egypt. I knew this because In Ali-Baba
there is like building today. That is also the same for Aladdin
because they call him a street rat and steals things sometimes.
Another similarity between this Arabian folktales are the character
Ali-Baba starts with an A. In Aladdin his name starts with A. That is
one similarity you probably didn't know about the two folktales
Aladdin and Ali-Baba.
More similarities are in both Arabian folktales Ali-Baba and the
Forty Thieves and Aladdin. Ali-Baba has a son. Aladdin doesn't have
one though. Ali-Baba his son doesn't have a name when I seen this
movie and book. I wish I could have told you his name but
unfortunately I can't.
Finally the last similarity between Ali-Baba and Aladdin is in the
middle or end of these Arabian Folktales both of the main
characters between very wealthy and rich. This is not probably how
you pictured the ending because in the beginning of folktales they
are poor as can be. At the ending they are so wealthy like Ali-Baba
because he is so rich he has to weigh his gold.
Now I am going to tell you the differences of these folktales one
cool difference between these Arabian folktales is in Aladdin there
is a talking bird. In Ali-Baba there is not sort of talking bird flying
around in the air.
More differences are these Arabian folktales are in Ali-Baba they
don't sign at all what so ever. In Aladdin they sing so much it gets
2. annoying. I know this because when I watched it with my friends
they agreed with me to.
One more difference between Ali-Baba and Aladdin both Arabian
folktales are when both main characters find gold or treasure Ali-
Baba is the only one that takes the gold. Aladdin takes the lamp not
the treasure.
Finally the last difference between Ali-Baba and Aladdin is in
Aladdin he has a monkey on his shoulder all the time. In Ali-Baba he
has not monkey on his shoulder anywhere.
I have came to the conclusion between these folktales Ali-Baba and
Aladdin is there are a lot more differences then I just told you and
a lot more similarities between them. I really enjoyed reading and
watching these folktales.
