1. By Carolyn Harding
Aladdin the movie and Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves have many similarities and differences. One similarity between Aladdin and Ali Baba is that Aladdin and Ali Baba wanted to be rich. Aladdin wanted to be rich, so he could get marries to Jasmine. Ali Baba wanted to be rich because he was very poor and had no money.
Another similarity between Aladdin and Ali Baba is that they are both Arabian folk tales. Arabian folk tales were told hundreds of years ago and the moral is to be kinder and not to be selfish. Some Arabian countries are Saudi Arabia, I ran, Iraq and many more.
Another similarity between Aladdin and Ali Baba is that it was very violent in the movie and in the story. There were people who would get hurt. Also people would get kidnapped or they would get killed
A difference between Aladdin and Ali Baba is that Aladdin had a lot of music in the movie. The music was both fast and slow in different parts of the movie. A part when the music was fast was when the thieves were chasing Aladdin and the monkey.
Ali baba had no music because it was read from a book and you cannot hear music playing when you are reading a book .
Another difference between Aladdin and Ali Baba is that Aladdin is very magical because Aladdin had a magic carpet and he would fly on it in the daytime and also a nighttime. Ali Baba does not have a magic carpet because you cannot have something flying in a book.
Another Difference between Aladdin and Ali Baba is that Aladdin is a lot younger than Ali Baba and he is not married yet in the story. Ali Baba is a lot older than Aladdin and he is married in the story.
Aladdin and Ali Baba had many similarities and differences but I think that I liked the movie better because I could see it happening in the movie.
