• Chemical Bond
– mutual electrical attraction between the nuclei
and valence electrons of different atoms that bind
the atoms together.

– outermost electrons that are available to be lost,
gained, or shared to form a chemical bond

• #1. Single covalent bond
- Formed by mutual sharing of only one electron pair between two atoms.

BOND
• - Formed by the mutual sharing of two electron pairs
between two atoms.

•Formed by the sharing of three electron pairs.

9. IONIC BOND
• An ionic bond forms when one or more electrons
from a metal transfers to a non-metal.

10. METALLIC BOND
• Chemical bond between atoms in a metallic
element. Formed by valance electrons that are
moving freely through the metal lattice.
