Dracula made an appearance in Joss Whedon's TV show and was able to control human minds. A major change is how vampires react in sunlight.
In the beginning of Dracula we are to believe that he can only go out at night. Later on Jonathan Harker believes he saw Dracula on the streets of
Whitby during the day. Van Helsing later confirms that vampires are only weakened by sunlight. The vampires in the Patricia Waddell books and
the Buffy series are unable to step foot in daylight without burning up. However in Waddell's books the vamps can easily be revived. These two

Dracula Reflection
When you hear the word Dracula, what words do you associate with him? Dead, scary, vampire? For most, it would be all of the above. However,
when speaking about Dracula, no one hardly utter the word man. Dracual depiction drew a fine line of him being both man and monster, but can we
really say that he is of man when his able to turn into different creatures? Dracula's complex personality and human form will be discussed throughly in

Transforming into other creatures is unnatural, it is of the evil or in this case the undead for Dracula.
The undead was quite prevalent in this novel because the blood sucking vampire, Dracula would feed on the living until he they finally became dead,
then turing into a vampire themseleves. The fact that we have a man who seems normal on the surface is what makes the Dracual character so
uncanning. He seems like an average person, despite the way he looks at first, but after understanding what he is capable of we almost feel taunted and
confused because he is in fact a monster and had been the entire time. Uncanning means something that is familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time and
is shown to of unnatural behavior or acts. Dracula's normal interaction with Jonathan Harker made us view him as a man, but once his revealed as

As we all know Dracula not only has to do with the horror, blood and vampires, but religion, christianity and the Victorian society that play a huge

Movie review of Dracula Bela Lugosi is arguably the most classic example of an actor taking on a vampire role. However, during 1931 when the

This passage characterizes Mina's obedience to her spouse Johnathan, and introduces her as the modest woman. Lucy Westenra represents the
sexual woman. In her second letter to Mina, she tells of the three marriage proposals that have come to her in one day, and the results of each. She

In the novel's world, Dracula has many mystical powers, some which has been shown only on several occasions and some which he uses for his daily
life. Dracula also has a very unique personality, which could tempt women and make them vulnerable. This means, Dracula could dominate every

misunderstood, tortured romantic figures or even ultimate romantic alpha–hero. Coppola's Dracula seems to be on the border of the Erotic and
Sympathetic cycles. Seduction and allure are still inherent to him, as well as his victims are ready to sacrifice, expecting gratification from the
master. The scenes of bite do not have sexual hints, they speak directly of sex. For example, this is the scene when Jonathan is attacked by the

brought out in people were the kind, noble, and brave sides of people, and the more unpleasant sides of people, such as the vicious, easily disliked,

Although Dracula never intended to have the positive effects on Jonathan Harker, they were still presented due to Jonathan Harker's will power. ("I
want to get away at once..." Dracula page 57). Some last good effects put upon Jonathan Harker by Dracula included a better understanding of
people, and more of a passion to do the right thing. My personal favorite qualities Dracula presented to Jonathan Harker were the qualities of nobility,
strength, and a fierce desire to do the right thing. Mina Harker, although not changed and possessed the most, was my favorite character because she
demonstrated several good qualities throughout the book. Some of the qualities she displayed were not all influenced by Dracula, such as her true
kindness and the passion of caring for people that were close to her, or not close to her. These two characteristics displayed in Mina Harker continued,
however, even when she was influenced by Dracula. In fact, these qualities often grew stronger when she was put under the influence of Dracula. (I
know you must fight– and you must destroy even as you destroyed the fake Lucy..." Dracula page 328). Throughout the story, Mina wanted to help,
and she showed several times her strength against Dracula, and her passion of doing the right thing, such as offering herself to be killed if she was
