Unit Daily Routines
Assessment
I. SPEAKING AND WRITING
Work in pairs and ask questions to your partner about his/her daily
routine (what time he/she gets up-what he/she has for breakfast-what time
he/she leaves home, etc.).
Try to get as much information as possible about your partner’s daily
routine and try to find out at least an interesting or unusual detail about it.
Take notes of your partner’s answers and then swap roles.
Write about your partner’s daily routine (about 100 words).
II. READING
Read Sara’s daily routine and mark the statements T (true) or F (false).
Sara is a hairdresser. She is 51 and she's married. She lives in the countryside
near Arezzo. Her son, Gianluca, is a student at the university in Florence. Her
husband is a hairdresser, too. They run their own shop together: Sara works in
the morning and her husband in the afternoon. The shop is inside a shopping
mall in Arezzo. Sara gets up at 7.30 every morning and has breakfast. She
usually has coffee with some biscuits. At 8.30 she drives to Arezzo and she
starts work at 9.00 and when her husband arrives at 1.00, she drives back
home and has lunch. Then she relaxes for a while and at 3.30pm she goes to
the gym. At 6.00 she goes to school because she wants to get a Diploma and
go to university to study foreign languages.
When she comes back home at 11.00pm she is really tired and goes to bed but
before sleeping she always reads for at least half an hour.
