INDIA AND AFGHANISTAN DIPLOMATIC
RELATIONS
The relations between India and Afghanistan have been on the up since 2001during the U.S. led invasion in Afghanistan. Once upon a
time, the two countries shared their borders. They were also very close to each other due to two main reasons:
1) Bollywood
2) Cricket
India also wanted the development of supply lines of electricity, oil and natural gas in the Republic of Afghanistan. The Indian
government wanted to strengthen its relationship with Afghanistan, Bhutan and Iran in order to come out as a super-power in its
region and eventually, suppress any unwanted activities of its neighboring country Pakistan.
It is worth noticeable that on his visit to India, Karzai stated Afghanistan’s intentions to be friends with both India and Pakistan,
rather than supporting a single country. He stated that Pakistan was like a twin brother of Afghanistan and India was a good friend.
According to him, improving their relation with their good friend India would not affect their relations with their twin brother
Pakistan.
HELPING HAND OF INDIA TO
AFGHANISTAN
After the overthrow of Taliban, India aided the Republic of Afghanistan, by innumerable ways:
 In 2005, India deployed 200 ITBP soldiers for the security of Indians and projects led by India in Afghanistan after a number of
attacks on Indians by Taliban
 Construction of a major road between Delaram and Zaranj in 2009
 India proposed Afghanistan to be included in the SAARC
 India provided $650-750 million in aid to Afghanistan, becoming the largest donor in Afghanistan, as quoted by Shaida
Mohammad Abdali, Ambassador of Afghanistan to India
 In 2015, India donated Mi-25 Attack Helicopters to Afghanistan government
 Also, in 2015, construction of Afghanistan Parliament by India for $90 million
 In 2016, the Indian PM and Afghanistan’s President inaugurated the Salma Dam, which aimed at producing 42 MW power
generation
TALIBAN’S TAKEOVER
On 15th August, when India was celebrating its 75th Independence Day, the Talibans were on their way to conquer Afghanistan. The
U.S. Embassy in Kabul went in a total chaos and the U.S. diplomats leaving the country for the sake for the sake of their lives. The
Afghan government fled away, leaving behind 3.8 crore Afghans on their fate. Although Taliban has been claiming itself as a peaceful
government, gunshots could be heard all over Afghanistan, according to local reports. The Taliban leaders have announced that
‘everyone is pardoned, including the military members’. They have also claimed that all the embassies would be safe and no harm
would be done to them.
Thousands of civilians now live in parks in Kabul, completely uncertain about their future. Long queues in-front of banks could be
seen all over Afghanistan. Even fear could be seen in the eyes of the innocent children. But on the other hand, there is a section of
society, which believes that the Taliban-led government could prove to be fruitful for them.
Taliban leaders still claim that they have now somewhat changed their old ideologies, which were against the human rights of the
women. They now claim that women will have all their basic rights, as long as they adhere to the Islamic laws.
WHAT LIES AHEAD FOR THE AFGHANS?
A major question arising amidst all this chaos is regarding the future of the Afghans, which is now not in their hands. They are feeling
unsafe to such an extent that they want to leave their own country, and are even ready to live the life of refugees in other countries.
Everyone wants to live a peaceful and safe life, and so do the residents of Afghanistan.
Although Taliban is trying to be as non-violent as possible, the ground reality is that the Afghans are currently terrorized by the
Talibanis. There future lies uncertain amidst cloud of smoke and gunshots. All they want is peace and harmony, which is not at
possible in the current situation. They have to wait at least for some weeks, before things come back to normal. The situation is just
to wait and watch what lies ahead for their lives.
The common masses know that now, they have no control over their lives and their lifestyle now lies in the hands of the Taliban-led
government. What they could actually do, is to just hope for the best future ahead.
MULTIPLE ATTACKS ON INDIAN
EMBASSY IN AFGHANISTAN
In 2008, the Indian Embassy in Kabul was attacked by suicide car bombers, which was the deadliest attack after the overthrow of the
Taliban in Afghanistan. A total of 58 people lost their lives in the bombing including Brigadier Ravi Datt Mehta and V. Venkateswara
Rao while a total of 141 people were wounded. Some of the Afghan officials later stated that the ISI was behind this attack.
In 2009, one year later, the Indian Embassy in Kabul was again attacked by the suicide car bombers, now killing 17 people. In the
same year, one more blast took place in Afghanistan, at the Arya Guest House, where the Indian doctors were staying, killing 18
people this time.
In 2014, five years later, another terrorist attack took place, now at the Indian Consulate in Herat. The Indian Consulate was attacked
by three men equipped with AK-47s, RPGs and hand grenades.
In total, in order to establish peace and harmony in Afghanistan, to help Afghanistan grow and flourish, a total of 93 people lost their
lives. Even after all these incidents, the Afghan government stated that India was their ‘brother country’ and also, the Indian
government kept on providing funds to Afghanistan and kept on building their projects. The rehabilitation and reconstruction of
Afghanistan was given the utmost priority above anything else.
WHAT LIES AHEAD FOR THE AFGHANS
IN INDIA?
Just imagine visiting a foreign nation and getting trapped there due to the takeover of your own nation. So dreadful and fearful, right?
The same case has been with the Afghanistan citizens who had arrived in India as tourists or for medical purposes. A large number of
Afghans are now trapped in India, due to the airport being shut in Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover.
Although, a large number of Afghans are entering India as refugees in order to save their lives, but the Afghanistan residents who are
trapped in India while their families being in Afghanistan, now face a miserable situation. Such people know that their own lives are
safe as they are in India, but their families are now under the control of Taliban.
A large number of Afghan students are now also trapped in India, who have come to India, in order to pursue higher studies and in a
hope to improve the standards of their life here. Many of them even don’t have a sim card to talk to their families back home. On this
prevailing situation, they face uncertainty and anxiety. Their future and their families’ future remain in the hands of the Taliban. A
large number of Afghans are living in India as refugees working in shops and pharmacies. They have improved their quality of living
as compared to them living in Afghanistan, but they face uncertainty and anxiety about their families back home.
INDIA’S APPROACH TOWARDS TALIBAN
The world is waiting to watch one of the world’s emerging powers, India’s take on Taliban. No official statement has been made yet
whether they are in favor of the Taliban-led government or not. The answer is probably no.
On August 15, 16 and 17, operations have been taken out by the Indian government to evacuate the Indian citizens residing in
Afghanistan, priorities being given to the India embassy officials. Afghanistan’s 5th largest and one of the most significant aid donors,
India, also evacuated Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel from the land of Taliban. More than 200 Indian citizens have been
evacuated so far.
However, Taliban spokesperson has now claimed that India could have waited longer before evacuating their citizens and they would
do no harm to their embassy officials. On the other hand, reports have emerged claiming that Taliban has now raided Indian
consulates in Kandahar and Herat, searching the databases for confidential files and hijacking the parked cars from both the
embassies.
Taliban has been carrying out door-to-door searches since the takeover, searching for the Afghans who worked for the National
Directorate of Security. In this tense environment, around 1,000 Indian citizens are still waiting in Afghanistan to be evacuated by the
Indian government.
TALIBAN’S INFLUENCE ON INDIA AND
PAKISTAN
Afghanistan’s 20 years old democracy came to a stop when Taliban took over Afghanistan few days back. This might be a slightly
good news for Pakistan, but not that beneficial for India, who have spent around $3bn in Afghanistan. India’s several ongoing
projects in Afghanistan came to a halt after the takeover, which is not a good news for the Indian economy as well as India’s influence
on other countries. However, speculations are being made that India could soon try to resume trade with the new Taliban-led
government. The prices of dry fruits, which are usually imported from Afghanistan, are on a hike, due to the current uncertainty.
However, Pakistan could look to take advantage of the situation, as it did not have a good relationship with the previous democratic
government of Afghanistan. Pakistan has now claimed that the new Taliban-led government would break the ‘shackles of slavery’.
Pakistan has been blaming the U.S. government as they believe that the withdrawal of U.S. troops proved vital for the resurgence of
Taliban in Afghanistan. They could support the Taliban’s ideologies, however, they must be miles away from any terrorist
organisation, as they would not want taunts at them at the United Nations General Assembly.
EVACUATION OF INDIANS FROM
AFGHANISTAN
A large number of Indians were residing in Afghanistan due to their work. Now, all these Indians face trauma to get out of the
Taliban controlled nation as uncertainty continues to build up. On 17th August, 2021, a convoy of 14 vehicles carrying 120 Indians left
the Indian Embassy in order to reach Hameed Karzai International Airport. Many of the people worked in Afghanistan as journalists,
diplomats, embassy staffs and security personnel.
The movement of Indians from the Embassy to the airport came along with a lot challenges, as the government of Afghanistan had
left the country and there were no police in order to coordinate the movement. The first batch of Indians reached the airport in the
darkness of night. They reached India by efforts of Government of India, arranging an Air India C-17 for the same. A large number
of diplomats and the families of embassy staffs were given the preference.
In order to evacuate the second batch of Indians from Afghanistan, the Government of India planned the same evacuation process
but could not execute it as the Taliban imposed night curfew. All the Indians were kept in the compound of the Indian Embassy as it
was considered to be safer than other places in Kabul. No Afghans were permitted to enter the area near the Indian Embassy. The
Indian Government informed the U.S. about their vehicles entering the airport, and they finally reached back in their own country,
India.
LIFE OF WOMEN AND INDIAN
MINORITIES UNDER TALIBAN
The Afghan women are living a miserable life under the new rule of Taliban in the Republic of Afghanistan. They are deprived of
their basic rights which almost all the nations are providing to women in 21st century. Although the Taliban stated in a press
conference that their rule and government would not be the same as tit was between 1996-2001, the Afghans really doubt that and
believe the Taliban fighters could do anything, anytime.
Women are forced to wear burka in the country after the takeover of Taliban in Afghanistan. Even the 13-14 years old girls are forced
to wear burka. The Taliban, in a press conference, stated that they have changed a lot, as compared to 2001, now they would allow
girls to attend schools. But, in reality, the Afghan girls are forced to wear burka and should be accompanied by a male relative.
A media firm claimed that the minorities are not safe in Afghanistan under the rule of Taliban. According to a report, nine people
from the Hazara minority community, who practice Shia Islam were brutally killed by the Taliban. After the takeover of Taliban in
Afghanistan, the Sikh and Hindu community hid inside a Gurudwara in Kabul in order to sae their lives. Now, the Indian
Government has shifted these 60 people to a ‘safe place’ in Kabul. All of these 60 people want to be evacuated to the U.S. or Canada,
rather than India because they feel more safe in the U.S. or Canada rather than in India. Moreover, the condition of refugees in India
is also not that good.
TALIBAN’S RELATIONSHIPS
United States of America: The U.S. war against the Taliban group is well-known in the entire world. The U.S. had deployed its
forces in Afghanistan, just to enforce a democratic government in Afghanistan and in order to oppose the Taliban takeover.
However, it had to withdraw almost all its troops hours after Taliban’s takeover at national capital, Kabul.
China: China has been supporting Taliban since long, which is now a much-known fact. This time also, the Chinese government
has declared Talibanis as ‘more clear-headed and rational’ than the rule which lasted 20 years ago. However, China has faced
backlash inside its own country for supporting Taliban, after the comments were made. Questions were also raised when the
Chinese Foreign Ministry stated the Taliban-led government as ‘the will and choice of the Afghan people’. Even the Chinese media
has made it clear that the new government in Afghanistan could prove to be futile for the women.
United Kingdom: Whether the U.K. should acknowledge the new government of Afghanistan is a big question mark for the
officials. The Prime Minister has made it clear that they would work with the Taliban-led government, if necessary. However, they
are currently monitoring the adverse impacts of doing so, like terror, drugs, etc.
RELATIONS OF TALIBAN WITH OTHER
COUNTRIES
Russia: While some countries are waiting how the situation unfolds, Russia has stated Taliban as a ‘legitimate government’. Its
ambassador to Afghanistan has been found citing that the situation is ‘better’ under the Taliban rule. Although Taliban has been on
Russia’s list of terrorists since 2003, their officials have even claimed that they are in contact with that the Taliban group for more
than 7 years and they would continue this practice to solve internal issues.
Canada: A sense of unity could be seen among the democratic parties of Canada, as they all rejected the proposal for recognizing
the Taliban-led government. However, this has now led to extreme fear amongst the people of Canada, living in Afghanistan. The
ruling party considers Taliban as ‘a recognized terrorist organization under Canadian law’ and has taken down the democratic
government by force.
Japan: While countries such as Germany, France are still waiting for Taliban’s next move, countries like Japan are not even
considering the Taliban-led government. The Chief Cabinet Secretary made it crystal-clear that the ruling party is completely
against the idea of a Taliban-led government.

  • 3. INDIA AND AFGHANISTAN DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS The relations between India and Afghanistan have been on the up since 2001during the U.S. led invasion in Afghanistan. Once upon a time, the two countries shared their borders. They were also very close to each other due to two main reasons: 1) Bollywood 2) Cricket India also wanted the development of supply lines of electricity, oil and natural gas in the Republic of Afghanistan. The Indian government wanted to strengthen its relationship with Afghanistan, Bhutan and Iran in order to come out as a super-power in its region and eventually, suppress any unwanted activities of its neighboring country Pakistan. It is worth noticeable that on his visit to India, Karzai stated Afghanistan’s intentions to be friends with both India and Pakistan, rather than supporting a single country. He stated that Pakistan was like a twin brother of Afghanistan and India was a good friend. According to him, improving their relation with their good friend India would not affect their relations with their twin brother Pakistan.
  • 4. HELPING HAND OF INDIA TO AFGHANISTAN After the overthrow of Taliban, India aided the Republic of Afghanistan, by innumerable ways:  In 2005, India deployed 200 ITBP soldiers for the security of Indians and projects led by India in Afghanistan after a number of attacks on Indians by Taliban  Construction of a major road between Delaram and Zaranj in 2009  India proposed Afghanistan to be included in the SAARC  India provided $650-750 million in aid to Afghanistan, becoming the largest donor in Afghanistan, as quoted by Shaida Mohammad Abdali, Ambassador of Afghanistan to India  In 2015, India donated Mi-25 Attack Helicopters to Afghanistan government  Also, in 2015, construction of Afghanistan Parliament by India for $90 million  In 2016, the Indian PM and Afghanistan’s President inaugurated the Salma Dam, which aimed at producing 42 MW power generation

  • 6. TALIBAN’S TAKEOVER On 15th August, when India was celebrating its 75th Independence Day, the Talibans were on their way to conquer Afghanistan. The U.S. Embassy in Kabul went in a total chaos and the U.S. diplomats leaving the country for the sake for the sake of their lives. The Afghan government fled away, leaving behind 3.8 crore Afghans on their fate. Although Taliban has been claiming itself as a peaceful government, gunshots could be heard all over Afghanistan, according to local reports. The Taliban leaders have announced that ‘everyone is pardoned, including the military members’. They have also claimed that all the embassies would be safe and no harm would be done to them. Thousands of civilians now live in parks in Kabul, completely uncertain about their future. Long queues in-front of banks could be seen all over Afghanistan. Even fear could be seen in the eyes of the innocent children. But on the other hand, there is a section of society, which believes that the Taliban-led government could prove to be fruitful for them. Taliban leaders still claim that they have now somewhat changed their old ideologies, which were against the human rights of the women. They now claim that women will have all their basic rights, as long as they adhere to the Islamic laws.
  • 7. WHAT LIES AHEAD FOR THE AFGHANS? A major question arising amidst all this chaos is regarding the future of the Afghans, which is now not in their hands. They are feeling unsafe to such an extent that they want to leave their own country, and are even ready to live the life of refugees in other countries. Everyone wants to live a peaceful and safe life, and so do the residents of Afghanistan. Although Taliban is trying to be as non-violent as possible, the ground reality is that the Afghans are currently terrorized by the Talibanis. There future lies uncertain amidst cloud of smoke and gunshots. All they want is peace and harmony, which is not at possible in the current situation. They have to wait at least for some weeks, before things come back to normal. The situation is just to wait and watch what lies ahead for their lives. The common masses know that now, they have no control over their lives and their lifestyle now lies in the hands of the Taliban-led government. What they could actually do, is to just hope for the best future ahead.

  • 9. MULTIPLE ATTACKS ON INDIAN EMBASSY IN AFGHANISTAN In 2008, the Indian Embassy in Kabul was attacked by suicide car bombers, which was the deadliest attack after the overthrow of the Taliban in Afghanistan. A total of 58 people lost their lives in the bombing including Brigadier Ravi Datt Mehta and V. Venkateswara Rao while a total of 141 people were wounded. Some of the Afghan officials later stated that the ISI was behind this attack. In 2009, one year later, the Indian Embassy in Kabul was again attacked by the suicide car bombers, now killing 17 people. In the same year, one more blast took place in Afghanistan, at the Arya Guest House, where the Indian doctors were staying, killing 18 people this time. In 2014, five years later, another terrorist attack took place, now at the Indian Consulate in Herat. The Indian Consulate was attacked by three men equipped with AK-47s, RPGs and hand grenades. In total, in order to establish peace and harmony in Afghanistan, to help Afghanistan grow and flourish, a total of 93 people lost their lives. Even after all these incidents, the Afghan government stated that India was their ‘brother country’ and also, the Indian government kept on providing funds to Afghanistan and kept on building their projects. The rehabilitation and reconstruction of Afghanistan was given the utmost priority above anything else.
  • 10. WHAT LIES AHEAD FOR THE AFGHANS IN INDIA? Just imagine visiting a foreign nation and getting trapped there due to the takeover of your own nation. So dreadful and fearful, right? The same case has been with the Afghanistan citizens who had arrived in India as tourists or for medical purposes. A large number of Afghans are now trapped in India, due to the airport being shut in Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover. Although, a large number of Afghans are entering India as refugees in order to save their lives, but the Afghanistan residents who are trapped in India while their families being in Afghanistan, now face a miserable situation. Such people know that their own lives are safe as they are in India, but their families are now under the control of Taliban. A large number of Afghan students are now also trapped in India, who have come to India, in order to pursue higher studies and in a hope to improve the standards of their life here. Many of them even don’t have a sim card to talk to their families back home. On this prevailing situation, they face uncertainty and anxiety. Their future and their families’ future remain in the hands of the Taliban. A large number of Afghans are living in India as refugees working in shops and pharmacies. They have improved their quality of living as compared to them living in Afghanistan, but they face uncertainty and anxiety about their families back home.

  • 12. INDIA’S APPROACH TOWARDS TALIBAN The world is waiting to watch one of the world’s emerging powers, India’s take on Taliban. No official statement has been made yet whether they are in favor of the Taliban-led government or not. The answer is probably no. On August 15, 16 and 17, operations have been taken out by the Indian government to evacuate the Indian citizens residing in Afghanistan, priorities being given to the India embassy officials. Afghanistan’s 5th largest and one of the most significant aid donors, India, also evacuated Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel from the land of Taliban. More than 200 Indian citizens have been evacuated so far. However, Taliban spokesperson has now claimed that India could have waited longer before evacuating their citizens and they would do no harm to their embassy officials. On the other hand, reports have emerged claiming that Taliban has now raided Indian consulates in Kandahar and Herat, searching the databases for confidential files and hijacking the parked cars from both the embassies. Taliban has been carrying out door-to-door searches since the takeover, searching for the Afghans who worked for the National Directorate of Security. In this tense environment, around 1,000 Indian citizens are still waiting in Afghanistan to be evacuated by the Indian government.
  • 13. TALIBAN’S INFLUENCE ON INDIA AND PAKISTAN Afghanistan’s 20 years old democracy came to a stop when Taliban took over Afghanistan few days back. This might be a slightly good news for Pakistan, but not that beneficial for India, who have spent around $3bn in Afghanistan. India’s several ongoing projects in Afghanistan came to a halt after the takeover, which is not a good news for the Indian economy as well as India’s influence on other countries. However, speculations are being made that India could soon try to resume trade with the new Taliban-led government. The prices of dry fruits, which are usually imported from Afghanistan, are on a hike, due to the current uncertainty. However, Pakistan could look to take advantage of the situation, as it did not have a good relationship with the previous democratic government of Afghanistan. Pakistan has now claimed that the new Taliban-led government would break the ‘shackles of slavery’. Pakistan has been blaming the U.S. government as they believe that the withdrawal of U.S. troops proved vital for the resurgence of Taliban in Afghanistan. They could support the Taliban’s ideologies, however, they must be miles away from any terrorist organisation, as they would not want taunts at them at the United Nations General Assembly.

  • 15. EVACUATION OF INDIANS FROM AFGHANISTAN A large number of Indians were residing in Afghanistan due to their work. Now, all these Indians face trauma to get out of the Taliban controlled nation as uncertainty continues to build up. On 17th August, 2021, a convoy of 14 vehicles carrying 120 Indians left the Indian Embassy in order to reach Hameed Karzai International Airport. Many of the people worked in Afghanistan as journalists, diplomats, embassy staffs and security personnel. The movement of Indians from the Embassy to the airport came along with a lot challenges, as the government of Afghanistan had left the country and there were no police in order to coordinate the movement. The first batch of Indians reached the airport in the darkness of night. They reached India by efforts of Government of India, arranging an Air India C-17 for the same. A large number of diplomats and the families of embassy staffs were given the preference. In order to evacuate the second batch of Indians from Afghanistan, the Government of India planned the same evacuation process but could not execute it as the Taliban imposed night curfew. All the Indians were kept in the compound of the Indian Embassy as it was considered to be safer than other places in Kabul. No Afghans were permitted to enter the area near the Indian Embassy. The Indian Government informed the U.S. about their vehicles entering the airport, and they finally reached back in their own country, India.
  • 16. LIFE OF WOMEN AND INDIAN MINORITIES UNDER TALIBAN The Afghan women are living a miserable life under the new rule of Taliban in the Republic of Afghanistan. They are deprived of their basic rights which almost all the nations are providing to women in 21st century. Although the Taliban stated in a press conference that their rule and government would not be the same as tit was between 1996-2001, the Afghans really doubt that and believe the Taliban fighters could do anything, anytime. Women are forced to wear burka in the country after the takeover of Taliban in Afghanistan. Even the 13-14 years old girls are forced to wear burka. The Taliban, in a press conference, stated that they have changed a lot, as compared to 2001, now they would allow girls to attend schools. But, in reality, the Afghan girls are forced to wear burka and should be accompanied by a male relative. A media firm claimed that the minorities are not safe in Afghanistan under the rule of Taliban. According to a report, nine people from the Hazara minority community, who practice Shia Islam were brutally killed by the Taliban. After the takeover of Taliban in Afghanistan, the Sikh and Hindu community hid inside a Gurudwara in Kabul in order to sae their lives. Now, the Indian Government has shifted these 60 people to a ‘safe place’ in Kabul. All of these 60 people want to be evacuated to the U.S. or Canada, rather than India because they feel more safe in the U.S. or Canada rather than in India. Moreover, the condition of refugees in India is also not that good.

  • 18. TALIBAN’S RELATIONSHIPS United States of America: The U.S. war against the Taliban group is well-known in the entire world. The U.S. had deployed its forces in Afghanistan, just to enforce a democratic government in Afghanistan and in order to oppose the Taliban takeover. However, it had to withdraw almost all its troops hours after Taliban’s takeover at national capital, Kabul. China: China has been supporting Taliban since long, which is now a much-known fact. This time also, the Chinese government has declared Talibanis as ‘more clear-headed and rational’ than the rule which lasted 20 years ago. However, China has faced backlash inside its own country for supporting Taliban, after the comments were made. Questions were also raised when the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated the Taliban-led government as ‘the will and choice of the Afghan people’. Even the Chinese media has made it clear that the new government in Afghanistan could prove to be futile for the women. United Kingdom: Whether the U.K. should acknowledge the new government of Afghanistan is a big question mark for the officials. The Prime Minister has made it clear that they would work with the Taliban-led government, if necessary. However, they are currently monitoring the adverse impacts of doing so, like terror, drugs, etc.
  • 19. RELATIONS OF TALIBAN WITH OTHER COUNTRIES Russia: While some countries are waiting how the situation unfolds, Russia has stated Taliban as a ‘legitimate government’. Its ambassador to Afghanistan has been found citing that the situation is ‘better’ under the Taliban rule. Although Taliban has been on Russia’s list of terrorists since 2003, their officials have even claimed that they are in contact with that the Taliban group for more than 7 years and they would continue this practice to solve internal issues. Canada: A sense of unity could be seen among the democratic parties of Canada, as they all rejected the proposal for recognizing the Taliban-led government. However, this has now led to extreme fear amongst the people of Canada, living in Afghanistan. The ruling party considers Taliban as ‘a recognized terrorist organization under Canadian law’ and has taken down the democratic government by force. Japan: While countries such as Germany, France are still waiting for Taliban’s next move, countries like Japan are not even considering the Taliban-led government. The Chief Cabinet Secretary made it crystal-clear that the ruling party is completely against the idea of a Taliban-led government.
