Outlook for the day
Market is likely to open on a positive note as positive sentiment surrounds
financial markets right before Diwali. Asian and U.S stocks posted gains as
European Central Bank relieved investors by announcing enhanced
stimulus to push the European economy from further slowdown. Wipro,
HDFC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, M&M Fin. Serv., L&T Fin., Asian Paints,
Havells India and Mastek will announce its quarterly result today. As per
provisional figures, foreign institutional investors (FIIs)/ Foreign Portfolio
Investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 32.4 crore on 21st October
2014. Domestic institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 68.94 crore
on that day.

Existing home sales in the U.S. increased by more than anticipated in the month of September, according to National Association of Realtors, with sales
bouncing back to their highest level in a year. Existing home sales climbed 2.4 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.17 million in September
after falling 1.8 percent to a rate of 5.05 million in August. Economists had expected existing home sales to rise to a rate of 5.10 million. With the bigger
than expected rebound, existing home sales rose to their highest annual rate since reaching 5.26 million in September of last year.
