Outlook for the day
The market is likely to open on a positive note taking cues from global
markets. Most Asian stocks rose before data on Chinese industrial output
and retail sales. U.S. equity prices edged off record highs on Wednesday
led by weakness in the financial sector after six global banks were fined a
total of $4.3 billion for currency rigging, while the oil market sagged on
concerns about a supply glut. Hindalco, SAIL, DLF, Cipla, Tata Power,
GMDC, Essar Shipping, Havells, United Spirits, MRPL, Fortis Healthcare,
Bombay Dyeing, Alok Ind., Alstom T&D, Shipping Corporation, NCC, Rei
Agro, Voltas and TFC will announce its quarterly result today. As per
provisional figures, foreign institutional investors (FIIs)/ Foreign Portfolio
Investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 459.47 crore on 12th
November 2014. Domestic institutional investors sold shares worth Rs
559.44 crore on that day.

US wholesale inventories edged up by 0.3 percent in September following a downwardly revised 0.6 percent increase in August. Economists had been
expecting wholesale inventories to inch up by 0.2 percent compared to the 0.7 percent growth originally reported for the previous month.
