Report on progress with £3.9m project to extend and refurbish the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS)

Week ending 20th November

2. Programme Update - ITS
For Period : Mon 9th November – Friday 20th November
- Completed reduced level dig to to new ground floor slab and pad foundations
- Completed concrete pours to perimeter retaining walls and stripped formwork
- Commenced ‘making good’ to walls within rooms of existing building
- Completed self level screeding and preparatory overboarding to existing sub-floors
- Continued internal builders work; including installing required lintels and steelwork
- Continued first fix mechanical and electrical works within existing building to all
floors

A look ahead to works commencing within the next 2 weeks :
- Complete concrete pour to pad foundations
- Complete external drainage works including new manhole and channel drainage
- Backfill and compact surrounding areas with Type 1 stone
- Commence external steelwork installation
- Continue overboarding existing ceilings to all floors within existing building
- Complete internal builders work; including installing required lintels and steelwork
- Continue first fix mechanical and electrical works within existing building to all floors
