PIN COMMENTS
LinkedIn rolls out option to pin
comments in reply chains.
LinkedIn has introduced a new option where you
have the power to pin a comment within the post
reply section.
This has been rolled out to all users to highlight the
best responses and to help spark further
engagement with your updates.
Top tip
When you comment on someone else’s posts, make your
comment highly valuable to readers, this way you’ll have
more of an opportunity to get pinned by the creator and
have more people view your comment.
2. LINKEDIN IS WORKING ON A NATIVE
POST SCHEDULING TOOL
To save users using a third-party
scheduling tool, LinkedIn is creating
its own
Native scheduling is currently being tested on
LinkedIn which will allow users to schedule
their posts directly on the platform rather than
relying on third-party scheduling tools.
This new tool will provide more guidance, a
wider post type and tools when scheduling on
the native platform.
3. TWEET EDIT IS ALMOST HERE!
Twitter has launched the first stage
of live testing for something that has
been highly requested on the app for
years: the ability to edit a tweet once
it has been posted.
Tweets will only be able to be edited
30 minutes after posting, but users
will be able to edit the text, images,
video and alt text.
It is currently being tested internally
and will be rolled out to Twitter Blue
subscribers in the following weeks.

4. TWITTER TESTS PROFESSIONAL
ACCOUNTS
Twitter tests new professional
account options, including updated
link buttons and shopping tools.
Twitter has been adding more options to its
Professional Accounts tools including the
introduction of variable link CTAS.
The new link CTAs includes a range of text
options which could provide another way to
drive more traffic from the platform
to company’s website.
Twitter also now has a new Shopping Manager
Platform which is giving brands useful tools and
an easier way to manage their products.
They’ve also been working to integrate more
shopping options.
5. TWITTER OPENS UP ‘CIRCLES’
TO ALL USERS
To support user privacy, Twitter
opens up Circles to all users
Circles is a new enclosed group tweeting
option which allows you to bring your
nearest and dearest into your own private
space.
This encourages more intimate
interactions within your own group and
gives the user more control over who sees
their tweets.
Each circle can contain up to 150 users
and users will be able to see when a tweet
is part of a circle.
6. YOUTUBE STUDIO IS TESTING
NEW PROMOTIONS TAB
YouTube is making it easier for
users to run YouTube promotions
inside YouTube Studio
YouTube is working on adding YouTube
channel and content promotions to
YouTube Studio.
This integration will make it easier for
brands and creators to run campaigns
without the need for Google Ads Manager.
YouTube has announced it is testing this
feature with a few creators.
7. INSTAGRAM TESTS ‘TOPICS’ IN
REEL UPLOADS
To help with user
recommendations, Instagram
introduces topics
Users will be able to better organise their
Reels with the ability to add topics during
the upload process.
This will help users help reach other users
who share their interests and boost their
brand/content across the platform.

To help your content get viewed by people
who are more likely to engage, ensure you
use the topic that is most relevant to your
content.
8. Pinterest introduces hosted
checkouts for Shopify Merchants
Pinterest have launched a new ‘Hosted
Checkout’ process in which enables the
shopper to select all the relevant product
order info within the app rather than having
to refer to the Merchant website to make an
actual purchase.
This feature is currently only available to US
merchants but could be rolled out in the
upcoming year.
In a beta study of hosted checkouts,
Pinterest saw +3.9% lift in users purchase
propensity and a +2.7% lift in checkouts per
user compared to Pinners who did not
encounter the hosted checkout experience.

9. From 10k to 10m in just over a year
The BeReal app, which allows users to share
an image of what they are doing in that exact
moment to their followers, has been
described as the anti-Instagram when it
comes to posting candid and unfiltered
content.
Their active user count is now reported to be
10 million, up from 10,000 just over a year ago.
As described by BeReal:

10. META SHARES VIDEO DISTRIBUTION

Meta wants its users to post more videos, and to
encourage this, has shared its video distribution
algorithm

2. Viewing behaviours & attributes - Make longer videos (min 3
mins) and ensure they inspire people to watch until the end
