This presentation outlines Queensborough Community College's process for converting admitted students to registrants. It discusses maintaining contact with students from admission through registration. Key steps include sending acceptance emails, reminders, and a checklist. Students are encouraged to participate in specialized programs and confirm their commitment. Over 1,900 advising events were created across five academies and a one-stop shop to help students become "registration ready". The goal is keeping students engaged and moving through the enrollment process.

At QCC
70% Needed Remedial Math
27.4% Needed Remedial Writing
23.1% Needed Remedial Reading
With…
19% Had 2 Remedial Needs
12% Had 3 Remedial Needs
To help students succeed at QCC, we offers a number of ways for students to complete their remedial needs and jump into college level work.
This semester we’ve added a Special Programs email. Discuss the way we handled this in the past.
As students’ test scores are imported, various filters based on the programs’ admission criteria sort students. A Content Doc email goes out daily informing students of the programs they may be eligible for.
Every semester we adjust our practices to better serve our needs and the needs of our students.
