Professional Summary
With eight years of classroom experience, I have learned to nurture students’ social-emotional
development in addition to academic core competencies. Some key experiences I have gathered over
these years in the classroom include:
• Teaching general education students, as well as students with special needs within an
inclusive classroom
• Incorporating differentiated instruction and accommodations to ensure success of all students
• Promoting critical thinking, problem-solving strategies, and cooperative learning

• Prepare and distribute weekly classroom newsletter, regularly update class information on
school Web site, and encourage open communication with parents in person, via email and
multiple on-line media formats to encourage teacher, student, parent partnerships
• Utilize positive behavior strategies for learning through the use of positive verbal
reinforcements and Class Dojo
• Prepare students and administer DIBELS and SAGE assessments
• Implement a variety instructional methods including inquiry, direct instruction, mini-lessons
