• Why does it resonate for you?
• My parents sacrificed everything to bring my siblings and I to the United States to receive
a good education so this goal hits home for me.
• How can your interest be applied locally?
• I can assess the quality of education that students in Federal Way (where I live) are
receiving and analyze what the school district is doing to ensure that immigrant students
in particular are adjusting well and if they are given access to resources that can help
them succeed in school.
• Where can you personally make the greatest contribution?
• At the elementary school next to my house; Olympic View Elementary.
• Is there a feature of social media that can be uniquely applied to this goal?
• Yes, I can start an advocacy page on Instagram or Facebook.
