Classification was not based on Clear and Consistent system of
Characteristics. Instead his Classification Was based on variety of
Features including the Plant’s Form, size and habitat. This a System
led to that was difficult to use and not very informative.
Theophrastus's Classification was based a limited number of Plants
that he had Personally observed.
Despite these objections on Theophrastus’s classification was
influential and helped in laying down the Foundation of the botany.
