Main sources include transportation systems, construction activities, and industrial operations in urban areas, which utilize loud machinery. Prolonged exposure to noise pollution can cause hearing impairment, lack of concentration, sleeping disorders, cardiovascular issues, mental health impacts, and stress-related illnesses. Transportation, construction, industrial processes, and other equipment are the primary contributors to high noise levels in many environments.

3. What is a Noise Pollution ?
Noise
Sound that is unwanted or disrupts one’s quality of
life is called as noise.
When there is lot of noise in the environment, it is
termed as noise pollution.
In general noise pollution refers to any noise
irritating to one's ear which comes from an external
source
NOTE : All Sounds are not noise.

• Transportation systems are the main source of noise pollution in
urban areas.
• Construction of buildings, highways, and streets cause a lot of
noise, due to the usage of air compressors, bulldozers, loaders,
dump trucks, and pavement breakers.

noise pollution.
• Loud speakers, plumbing, boilers, crackers,generators, air
conditioners, fans, and vacuum cleaners add to the existing
