Increasing and acceleration socio –economic & technological changes in recent years have bought along some social problems , social problems in society, home & school are closely related to values. Hence , teaching value is a realistic solution for any existing problem both in social and global scale.

global scale.
3. VALUE ...?
The word value reflects the importance ,worth,
desirability & the respect something gets in return .
Social values are moral beliefs & principles that are
accepted by the majority so as to ensure the
continuity of a society .
4. Categorization of Values
Values can be categorized as :
Their content (aesthetic , scientific ,
educational,economic & social values ).
Their extensiveness ( societal , national , & global
values )
5. SOCIAL VALUE : Social values are criteria
shared by majority of a society in an ideal
sense , all of which lead them to the better
society . Social values regulate & organize
daily life. For example : honesty ,
helpfulness , modesty are some of these
societal values .
6. NATIONAL VALUES : National values are
values that are necessary for a nation ‘s
unity & existence , these values are
essentially important to exist in the world as
a nation by and large.
For example: The sacredness of the flag and
love for the country .
7. GLOBAL VALUES : These values are
shared by all societies , these values
accepted by all , they are different
from societal values .
For example : wishing is done globally
8. They show the ways of thinking and
behaving : It means in which angle and
subject the individual is thinking ,
like some individuals values are good and
behave in respectful manner & some
individual values are not so good .
9. VALUES ARE USED AS MEANS
IN JUDGING : People judge the
individual on the basis of his /her
values they have ,judging can be
in both the ways negative &
positive.

USEFUL & IMPORTANT CULTURAL
OBJECTS : If an individual get
good values from his/her growth
stage then in future the
individual will focus on the
positive and cultural way.
11. VALUES PLAY ROLE AS A GUIDE TO
ADOPT & REALIZE SOCIAL ROLES : If an
individual will not have good
values so how will he/she perform
social values like helpfulness
,honesty etc.
12. Education is a process which aims at
biological ,psychological , social & moral
development of human being .It develops the
identity of an individual , the goal of
education institutions is not only to teach but
also to help students acquire all values
necessary as a human being .
13. The purpose of value education is to create
values & raise individuals who convert their
values to behaviors .one of the primary goals
of education is to give the individual
confidence and the consciousness of being an
individual. The societies have to make the
individual become active members of the
society by teaching them the values that they
have.
