Method take the all accessories from an electric shop and fix them all on a wooden
board. Show the all accessories one by one to all the students and discuss one by one.
1. Switches:--- these are used to swilch "on" and switch "off' the current in any
circuit with the phase wire.

3. Plugs: these are attached with wall

holders to take the supply for any
plugs or
appliance. equipments ,machine or
light.
10 Bed switch: it is a switch used to
control the connection of any light or
fan etc. and is mostly connected for
the easy control near the bed as the
name.
Distribution box: it is simply a
metal box assembled with a number

of fuse carriers and neutral links in it.
The supply from the main switch is
connected to it and then distributed

avoid the over
load damage on a particular circuit.
Batten or angle holder: these are
used in the circuits in which the

bulbs are attached for lighting fixed
on the wooden blocks or junction
boxes with walls.
4. Reflectors: these are made of glass.
metal. plastic, etc.. to give diffused
reflection.
These are designed to provide the
uniform illumination on the floor.

Ceiling roses:- these are used in the
circuits fixed on the wooden blocks
or junction boxes with roofs with
which connection for ceiling fans,
exaust fans, tube lights and pendent
lights are made
Brackets these are fixed on the
ground blocks with walls in which
bulbs are attached for lighting.

Mcbs: these days miniature circuit
breakers (mcbs) are increasingly
being used in places of fuses.
These are switches which

automatically turn off when the
curTent in a circuit exceeds the safe
limit.
You tun them on and the circuit is
once again complete.
5. Conduit pipe: it is used for
wiring circuits installations
through which the v.i.r. Or
p.v.c. Wires are passed.
