In the book Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls there was a Story about a young woman
named Andree Peel and Corrie Ten Bloom. Both of these women had a good habit of saving
others.
Andree Peel is thriving because of how she risked her life to help British pilots land
safely during World War Two. “Many times she risked her life. She would steal out at night and
line up a row of flaming torches to signal to Allied planes as they crossed enemy lines. The
pilots looked for these bright spots and knew that they could land safely there, thanks to Andree.
She helped save over a hundred British pilots from being captured by the Nazis.” This shows
that Andree Peel is thriving because of how she risked her life to help British pilots land safely
during World War Two because she was willing to put her life in jeopardy to help others get to
their destination safely.
I can connect my writing about Andree Peel to Corrie Ten Bloom who also helped others
during World War Two. “Corrie built a secret room behind a false wall in her bedroom. Corrie
installed a buzzer to signal danger. She saved more than eight hundred Jews.” This shows
Corrie Ten Bloom who also helped others during World War Two because if she didn’t that
many more people would have lost their lives to the war.
