Homes of Scarborough’s hidden gem, The Bluffs,
open up to support Rouge Valley Centenary hospital
Gates Open Home & Garden Tour features spectacular properties, garden expert
Charlie Dobbin, and a new speaker series to June 18 fundraising event
May 19, 2016 —The Rouge Valley Health System Foundation is pleased to announce its fourth
annual Gates Open Home & Garden Tour on Saturday, June 18th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. where
nine exclusive homes will open their doors in support of Rouge Valley Centenary hospital, giving
ticket holders the opportunity to take in spectacular views of Lake Ontario, lovely home décor,
and the opportunity to win great prizes.
‟This year’s tour is a must see,” says Gord Moore, Chair of the Gates Open Home and Garden
Tour committee. “Each year we have attracted new spectacular homes and I think this is the
most unique lineup yet. And I can’t wait to learn from the experts in the speakers series we’ve
added to the list of activities for the day.”
The Gates Open Speakers Series features health, home and gardening experts, ready to lend
their insights and expertise to tour participants. Industry leaders from Pagoda Gardening Ltd.,
Mayfair Clubs and Sherwin Williams, will each offer sessions, along with critically acclaimed
horticultural expert and 740 AM radio personality Charlie Dobbin, who is back for a second year
to host a session. Each seminar is 30 minutes in length, with a question and answer period, and
take place at the Cornell Campbell House, 3620 Kingston Rd. For full details on the speakers

Early bird tickets are on sale for $25, until May 20th and $30 thereafter and the speakers series
is just $20 for one or all of the sessions. Proceeds of the event support Rouge Valley Centenary
hospital, funding the purchase of leading-edge medical equipment for the many programs of this
excellent acute care community hospital.
