● Wright State is a public university in Dayton.
● They have around 15,000 students at their school.
● The station covers the university
● Each show is run by students at the university, looking to get a chance for some
experience as a radio DJ
4. Purpose of the Station
● They exist to provide students at Wright State with entertainment and update the
campus about events happening.
● Clubs on campus can come on various shows and discuss their clubs and specific
events going on.
● They host guests, such as musicians or comedians on their shows.
5. Sports
● WWSU 106.9 covers Wright State basketball, soccer, volleyball and softball
● They do play-by plays of all of these sporting events
6. Flyin In WIth Nat
● This is one specific show run by Natalie Jones, Tuesday’s from 2-3 PM.
● She plays music but it is mainly a talk show.
● She runs it with her co-host and typically has 2-3 guests per show
● They run different segments, such as a random question of the day and they have a
relationship segment.
● The relationship segment has gotten some popularity as many people have
messaged or called the show with stories or opinions on relationships.
● They update people on events going on in the community and new business
openings such as new restaurants.
7. Career Opportunities
● The station gives students the opportunity to get experience as a radio DJ so they
can go on to bigger radio stations.
● For Natalie, she wants to work at 94.5 FM on the Bobby Bones Show

8. Community Involvement
● With Natalie’s show, as with many other shows on the station, they get lots of
feedback through social media DM’s, posts or through calling the station.
● As I said before, Natalie’s relationship segment gets a lot of feedback from college
students.
● The website has a blog that people can talk about the station or connect with the
DJ’s or other listeners.

11. Reflection
The radio station does a good job of connecting Wright
State students and informing them of events on campus
and allows clubs to promote themselves.
They promote sports, local artists and allow students to
further their dreams of working in radio.
All in all, the station is a good thing for the university and
does well in keeping the community close
