“An individual with a terminal illness in a rural community needed Hospice.
The nearest Hospice service provider was more than an hour away and was
unwilling to send its nurses out to help the patient. The patient ended up
needing to spend her last days in a Critical Access Hospital instead of in her
home which caused additional stress for her and her family. We could hack how
to provide better access to Hospice services in our rural communities.”
