3. Gender
• Gender for horror films isn’t set to just one. Bringing to an
argument about what kind of horror movie it may be, it doesn’t
matter what gender you are. From the picture below of a
“Zombie Walk” you can see that men and woman are doing this,
it doesn’t mean that they all love the gory mash up of all horror
films but they do like zombies, leading to say that they enjoy
watching a zombie films, which is a type of horror film sub genre.

4. Age
• Age varies with horror film for the fact that the majority are 15’s or
18’s, so that would be the age range but people younger still watch
and enjoy them. Lighter horror films which have a jump scares
every so often would be the variable for people under 15, but you
can’t put an age on whether or not people like horror movies;
besides the fact that they should be an age of around 12 before
watching a horror movie, so that they aren’t petrified of what they
are watching.

5. Lifestyle
• The lifestyle for this particular film follows along the extreme sports
fans along with horror fans. The Descent aims and these two
audiences, for the whole plot of the film (going on a caving
exploration) it aims at those who enjoy these types of things, rock
climbing, gliding, those types of sports. But because the film is
horror (with the gory mash of the crawlers) it is also aims at horror
film fans.

6. Spending Power
• Spending power affects the people who would like to watch this
film when it would released, this comes under lifestyle as well as
itself. If the person wanting to watch the film is into extreme sport
then they have a 50/50 chance of having the money for watching it
in cinemas, because of the amount of money they would put into
the sports over going to the cinema. Horror fans though could have
the money to go and watch this film, due to them not spending
mass amounts of money on extreme sports. But once the film has
been released on dvd then they could afford to buy it rather than
going to the cinema on release.
