2. For this first photo I went out with
the hope of finding a nice landscape
with something to overhang and
possible leading lines. On my way to
leave the shoot I saw this path and it
made a nice photo, adding some filters
should really bring out the unique
colours in the photo. I thought that I
could use this photo for the front cover
of the magazine, as it uses a lot of
different photography techniques.

3. For this photo I saw good composition
with how the lines traveled through
the image, and that the trees fill it up,
not leaving a lot of space in the photo
empty. In the magazine I would use
this photo as an example of leading
lines on the double page spread.

4. On location I could see the light shining
through the clouds over houses in the
distance, so going through different
apertures and shutter speeds I took a
range of photos and this is the one I
chose, only being able to see a glow
coming down and the light on the top
of the clouds. In my magazine I would
use this photo on the double page
spread, I could use it to show that
making the shutter higher and the
aperture a little higher can change how
an image looks, giving a completely
different look.

5. On location I had a view of a
wide arrange of landscapes from
the height I was at, this is one of
the other sides on location. I like
this photo because you can see
the light shining down onto the
hills below, there’s some
foreground interest along with
background interest and I think
the exposure is good for the
photo. If I put this photo in my
magazine I think I would use it
on a single page, explaining
about that photo and how it
could be improved though
editing, along with how to edit

6. This photo is more of a wide
shot, it captures the differences
in lighting, with the light shining
through the clouds on the left
side then darkness on the right
side. The picture layers with the
plants coming up from the
bottom at the very front, the
hill behind going down from
right to left, followed by the
trees bunched together leading
to the background of the hills
and wide landscape. In my
magazine I would use this
photo on a single page, talking
about the composition of the

7. This photo I like because it has
a main foreground interest the
it has the tree behind it filling
up the right side of the photo,
then on he left side the hills are
the other interest. If I put this
in editing I think I could bring
out the reds and some of the
greens out nicely. This photo I
would put on a double page
spread of my magazine, talking
about the photo and how it
could be improved through
editing.

8. On shoot this is one of my
favorite photos as I feel it is the
most appealing of them all, it has
the fence going across the image,
the red berry bush on the right
side coming into the photo, the
trees filling the middle of the
photo along with some houses,
the sun shining down in the
distance and finally with the hills
in the far background brining the
photo together. I would put this
photo on a double page, talking
about the composition of the
photo, and how as a photo it
works better than others on the
page.

9. Although not the most appealing
photo I have taken for this shoot I like
this photo for the cloud formation and
how the blue in the sky starts to slowly
come into show the more the photo to
the left is, and how the light is shining
down on the bushes to a certain point
then you can see shadow. It has a
leading line following the hill from one
side to another and the foreground
has the thistle coming up at a vertical
angle to add to the photo itself. I
would use this photo a single page,
talking about the constant line going
down the page, and how it goes from
light to dark throughout the photo.

10. On a separate shoot I found this pond
and I thought straight away that
capturing this part of nature from the
right angle can make a really good
photo. With the tree filling up the
right side of the image, it also starts to
lean over to the centre of the photo.
The pond itself fills up a nice portion
of the centre image, still leaving the
sides enough to allow the grass to also
have some intake. The tree line at the
back fits well in the photo as it’s along
the horizon. I would use this photo on
a double page talking about how the
photo could be improved and also
how it works as a photo.

11. As my final image this I like this photo
because of the face the grass in the
foreground isn’t plain and empty, it has
tufts of brown grass growing on a hill
which has a leading line going down
diagonally along with this it has the tree
in in the middle ground put to the right
side of the photo when taken to go for
the rule of thirds focus point. In the
background of the image the forest
below fills up most of the photo then
leads to the clouded sky, as a photo I
think it looks nice as it is filled and isn’t
too overwhelming. I would put this on a
single page of my magazine, to talk about
the composition of the photo and how
editing can help improve the photo
overall.
