Associate / Senior Associate,
Commercial Banking Development Program
We are looking for an eager, results-focused individual for our
Commercial Bank. The successful candidate will undertake a
6-9 month training program before being appointed to a Credit
Solutions Analyst / Senior Credit Solutions Analyst role.
Commercial Banking provides mid-market and independent
business clients with innovative borrowing solutions for financing
growth, money management services to help effectively manage
cash flow, and tools and strategies to mitigate business risks.
(Senior) Associates will undergo an intensive training program
which consists of coach-supported opportunities to learn, practice,
apply and test the skills and knowledge required to confidently
transition into the Credit Solutions Analyst / Senior Credit Solutions
Analyst role. A customized learning plan is created for each (Senior)
Associate that takes into account individual needs and prior
experience.
Associates will gain a thorough understanding of the Commercial
Bank through the following activities:
• Analytical Training – Topics include financial analysis, products &
services, tools & technology
• Integrated Commercial Bank & Partner Introduction - Introductions
to Commercial areas such as Leasing and Franchising, and to key
business partners such as the Business Service Centre, Global Risk
Management and Global Transaction Banking
Upon completion of the program, the (Senior) Associate will
demonstrate the following skills and competencies:
• The ability to conduct effective analysis, structuring and
presentation of credit proposals
• Techniques and tools to identify customer business needs
and provide appropriate solutions
• Negotiation skills
Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in
order to develop and maintain relationships with Commercial
business customers
• Prior experience in providing customer needs-based advice
and solutions
• A solid knowledge and understanding of financial statements
and accounting principles and policies. Previous credit experience
is an asset. As a Senior Associate, you possess a high level of
financial analysis skills including experience with complex financial
statements, credit terms and conditions, and relationships
• Natural curiosity and passion for satisfying customer needs
• The ability to operate in a fast-paced, constantly changing
environment
Education and Accreditations:
• You possess or are working towards an undergraduate or
post-graduate degree in business, commerce, finance or
accounting-related discipline
