 Technology has had an ever increasing 
impact on our lives. The technologist 
of tomorrow will need to be life long 
learners and with a wider scope of 
knowledge and work than ever before. 
 The Glocal School of Technology aims 
at educating young men and women to 
become designers, producers and 
efficient users of Technology. 
 The education pedagogy is based on 
the fact that we are Human first & 
anything else later. Keeping this in 
mind and our five pillars, the 
Technology School has the following 
salient features
 An accent on Lab work and Project based learning leading to engineers 
who know their tools as well as are comfortable working with their hands: 
something missing in most of our engineers and a prime requirement of 
industry 
 A teaching and assessment pedagogy which is innovative and developed to 
suit our students: these are the tools through which we develop critical and 
logical thinkers 
 A respect for and love for research even in our UG students : our 
experiments and projects are designed to make the student research and 
validate his research 
 A unique way of administering our school so that silos or internal 
boundaries are not made and interdisciplinary interaction is encouraged
 A flexible approach to selecting your discipline. You are free to change 
your discipline after the 2nd year: a unique system designed to enable 
the student to make an educated choice 
 A compulsory requirement to do a certain number credits from schools 
other than Technology and including the Humanities, and a requirement 
to learn atleast 1 foreign language : this exposure to the humanities, 
would develop human values and the capacity to examine and act upon 
moral issues with as much ease as with technical issues 
 A desire and demand for excellence, quality and aesthetics in technology 
so that the Glocal technologist is uncompromising on standards and 
methodology 
 Our master’s program and Research program will be starting this year. 
We intend adding specializations in our PG programs in the coming 
year. We make your learning at our school fun. We also demand 
dedication and hard work from all our students.
Teaching Faculty 
 Our faculty is professionally competent in their fields and are from 
diverse fields, many of them having researched in cutting edge areas of 
technology. Our faculty are chosen such that they are enthusiastic, 
flexible and open to new ideas. Thus the teaching environment 
becomes vibrant with new ideas and methods of teaching and 
assessment 
 English comprehension and communication, an introduction to 
hands on engineering, as well as an exposure to other schools to 
enable a student to re examine his choice of engineering as a 
profession 
 The next two semesters are aimed at giving an exposure to all the 
disciplines of engineering being offered to enable the student 
decide which stream of engineering is most to his liking. Also in 
this part greater rigor is there in the subjects.
UG Programs 
 The 8 semester UG program is divided into 3 distinct parts : 
 The first two semesters are aimed at giving a broad introduction to the 
sciences, detailed tutoring in. 
 The next 4 semesters are designed to provide enough tools and knowledge 
in the chosen stream to enable the student pick up current technologies in 
his place of work after completion of his degree course. 
 The electives are so designed as to allow the student to either gain 
knowledge and understanding of a particular substream or to choose to 
have a bit of each substream
 The thread of Languages and Humanities runs throughout these phase as 
well as an emphasis on project based learning and experimentation. 
 The descriptions below are aimed at giving you an idea of what lies in 
each discipline, what are the optional areas for you to choose from, and a 
word about the opportunities in each area. 
 Cross functional courses are also open: for example a Mechanical engineer 
may take a few courses in structures from the Civil stream as well.

Glocal School of Technology
